JUNE CALENDAR
Hey, fairybros! Welcome all to June, especially our new people! The mod team is undergoing transitions at this time, so we ask that you bear with us. But we hope this event will be easier on both ends, encouraging CR all around!
As of this month, Snow has stepped down. She will be remaining with the team to help in the transition, easing our regrouping and resettling going forward. And please join us in thanking Snow for all the hard work and effort she has put into the game!
ACTIVITY CHECK
As noted on the calendar, activity check is this month. Characters new this cycle will only need to submit half the required activity to pass. A note of this has been added to the General FAQ.
MINI STATE OF THE GAME
There have been many rumours flying about concerning Eachdraidh's endgame, the Void, and other issues! We want to reassure players that there are multiple endgame options, and while by certain actions (or inactions) players have steered the course of the game towards a swifter endgame, the modteam is making certain story revisions which should avert this… with sufficient player involvement! Keep your ears to the ground.
QUESTS
The quest system's overhaul is being postponed for the month of June while mods work on the transition! Quest boards have been posted to the quests requests page and are now available for taking! For quest-givers who have not yet finished their boards, please send your boards to us by PM for approval when you complete them.
Players are asked to follow the new format: request a quest, ask for its mod approval on the quest request page, thread out the handing out of the quest, do the quest, and then thread out the reports, before turning in a link to all relevant information to the mods!
For those curious about what the rules will be in July, please follow this link.
MONTHLY EVENT
With everyone recovering from the Dullahan battle and the newcomers, the monarchs are taking it easy. Shardhunters, however, are not, and will be going after targets of their own!

The Silver Sickness GENRE: MYSTERY/MAGIC | DURATION: 6-20 JUNE |

SUMMARY They stand in a circle, each holding each others hands. Mercury mixed with blood forms the patterns of markings on the ground around them. The moonlight shines heavy above. At the center, a single shard, acquired at high price, and a single silver coin.
The incantation shakes the room, makes the shard tremble and glow. Power fills it, heats it up, stronger, stronger, even as they shout their spell louder. Sudabeh thinks, “No, it’s all gone wrong--” but it is too late. The room goes still and quiet. All that is left are ten silver statues, open-mouthed and holding hands..
It starts as something barely noticeable: a coldness at the tip of the fingers; a spot of strange, hard silver on the thigh that just won’t come off. But slowly it spreads, seeping along veins, spreading over skin, staining its way over and into your body. At first it only appears amongst those with bounties on their heads: all those of four stars of influence or higher, all who have control of territory (Barons, Baronesses, Marchionesses, Marquises, and Lords or Ladies controlling any cities), the Golden Cadre Knights and Necroveils, those who have escaped the prisons of their court enemies, and any others who have earned enough wrath to have a bounty set on their head. It may start from different places on different people, but the result is the same: more and more of the body turns to cold, hard silver, taking approximately a week and a half from infection for a person to turn to statue completely: immobile, unable to move or speak or even scream, but seeing and aware.
But the sickness quickly spreads from those who bear bounties. The cause may not be clear at first, just as the infection may not be. Direct physical contact from any infected spreads the illness, as does any exchange of bodily fluids. Neither Shardless nor Natives are spared the disease. In its earliest forms, the disease is bearable, but those silvered parts have no ability to sense what they touch, and the more the body is taken over, the more difficult and painful it is to move what is frozen.
No cure is known, but many are rumoured. Books of folklore and people wise in the ways of history may recommend an assortment of cures: a compliment from an enemy, a kiss from a stranger, walking backwards around the castle seven times with a different person each time, a gift of horseshoes, an act of kindness done to a stranger or enemy that gains a garment in return, prayer and offerings to Luxuria (God of Lust & Lechery) for one’s senses back, or having another person bathe those parts of the body that had been turned silver. Which of these are true?
Any one of them might be. Different sources provide different cures, and the reason is that one of these may cure someone, but someone else will require a different cure. One person may be cured by an act of kindness, while another may require a kiss. Those affected may need to try multiple cures before they find the ones that effectively treats their cure, and often (although not always) the cure that works on an individual is a cure that in some way answers the wrongdoings a person may have done.
UNSEELIE
When the disease begins to spread, the monarchs will issue a proclamation urging the Unseelie to go out amongst the people seeking a cure within the folklore. All those who research cures, by whatever means, and/or attempt to deliver them, will be rewarded.
SEELIE
When the disease begins to spread, the monarchs will issue a proclamation urging the to research in libraries and records of lore what the cure for this illness may be. All those who research cures, by whatever means, and/or attempt to deliver them, will be rewarded.
NOTE: For both courts, getting infected and/or spreading of the disease will also contribute to boon word count. The monarchs, however, will not be asking anyone to do this - for obvious reasons.

NEWBIES: Those who arrived for June will not qualify for the full scope of possible boons. However, they may ask for non-powered objects, such as mementos from home. These will not be scaled by wordcounts, save that you must meet the 1000 minimum.
