Plot Heads Up!

Hey guys, Vanessa Ives' player here.

For those of you not familiar with her canon, Vanessa is the reincarnation of a demon who last went by the name of Amunet. Amunet is basically the wife of Satan, and basically looks for any opportunity to take possession of Vanessa and have 'fun'. Amunet also really dislikes men. Which might be a mixture of Vanessa's own issues with men, and Amunet herself.

As of August 1st, due to a very poor choice on Vanessa's part, Amunet is going to be taking up residence, most likely for a week.

What does that mean for you?

1: To rid Vanessa of the possession, she's going to need someone to exorcise her. A priest, someone who is really spiritual, etc. Any religion will do, it doesn't have to be Christianity.

and most importantly

2: Amunet can read minds/is clairvoyant. It's not clear how, but she basically knows everyone's dirty secrets and enjoys taunting the hell out of them. Anyone with the capability to mind read/block this might have some success but she would probably push back. So if you tag a post during this week, just be aware I'll probably be pinging you to discuss things she can learn.

Vanessa herself remembers very little of what happens, so there is no worry that Vanessa will remember what Amunet learns.

Due to the possibly traumatic nature of what might happen, I'll mark all posts and logs with specific warnings.

Kirei is a priest! Of your standard Christian/Catholic variety, but he's been getting involved in the spiritual world of the Drabwurld with all of its gods, too. He probably knows a few things about exorcism...

Vanessa is Catholic too! ...and bit a huge hole in the cheek of the last priest who tried to exorcise her.

But I'd love to get the CR and I'm sure if a few people held her down he could work his trade :)

I'm sure that can be worked out! He's pretty combat-ready, so no worries about him getting injured if he does. :,) He's Seelie, but will be in both Leathann and to the north of Glaschu in August.

I don't think Waver would reach out, unfortunately! he kind of hates kirei for being the series big bad But he would be able to see her network post, at least! From there I just don't know how I'd get him up to Arachne's Eye in early August if that's well into Unseelie territory. I can't seem to find it on the map, though I'm trying!

If all else fails, I could just have Kirei tag her network post and we can start up some CR there?

I realized I never asked. When is this going to happen, and where are we going to do it? Dorian isn't going to risk going to her spire, less out of paranoia than, well, every spire is THE UNSEELIEST TERRITORY and that ain't safe even if you have the Baroness's invitation.

As for mindblock. Waver has some skill at memory manipulation but it's left SUPER vague for how it works and if the ability extends to guarding his own brainmeats. I definitely want mind reading though, so perhaps an attempt to block Amunet out could result in even more fun? :DD

Oh Amunet is going to be going after Waver in particular, since Vanessa finds such great support in him.

So yes, a nice little battle of wills would be fun.

THIS SHOULD BE FUN Waver doesn't have a lot of shame in the shit he's pulled exactly, but some of the stuff he's seen is delightfully horrifying.

Oh yes I am so very excited about this :D I'll need a reason for Simon to be at her spire (is that where she'll be? He could be seeking her help with something) and we'll have to figure out the logistics of it, but I am so looking forward to fucking up my character :D I'll also be writing out the memory when he retains it, too, because I'm horrible like that.

I'll have to yank you and Dani into a PP so we can figure this all out, too.
