The Library at Caer Glaem

So! Relevant to anyone who might happen past the library in the near future: a fire was set in the library in the middle of the night a few days ago, as outlined in this post and a call for help was sent over the lockets here. Fortunately, a firebender was on hand to help and the damage was kept to a minimum -- a few bookshelves and some scorch marks, really -- but it's enough to take note of. It is not nearly enough to call the library a loss! It's still completely usable, even if it smells a bit of smoke.

If your character was in Caer Glaem at the time of the fire, it might have been hard to miss the ruckus, what with horns blaring and gates crashing and fairies all a-twitter. As already mentioned, the damage, while not exactly negligible, is certainly not severe.

wow this is the most informative post ever

Oh thank you for putting this up. I'm glad you handled it the way you did, because I failed to plot it ahead of time. (Something to avoid in the future.)

In any case, only a few shelves should be scorched and unrecoverable. The only intention of the fire was to obscure what books were stolen. Aside from smoke damage, the rest of the library should be fine.

This is incredibly late on my part, but if it's okay I would love to have Usagi rush in and at least offer to help -- even if from the looks of the thread she probably won't be needed.
