BOON REQUESTS

Hey fairybros! You know what time it is? Boon time!

Requests are up, which means the fairies and imps are out and about bothering people from their respective factions to note down the number one item on their wishlist again!




Wherever Shard-holder characters are in the Drabwurld, at some point today they will be approached by fairies or imps, depending on their alignment, bearing a piece of parchment and a quill. They will urge your character to write down a request for an item, power or favour from their monarchs in exchange for fighting or supporting their faction and they will take it away through a fairy-ring when it is written. There are three easy rules your character will be informed MUST NOT be broken:

1) "Do not call for time and space to be bent to your will!"

2) "You may not request another's true love or devotion!"

3) "Ask not for a road home or the loved ones whence you came!"

Essentially, the OOC boundaries relayed through IC means to your character are to avoid game-breaking demands being made. They will be approved, altered or denied here until 24th NOVEMBER (00:01am LONDON GMT) so that when your character receives their boon on the morning of 25th (you can pick any time for them to be delivered/show up) no matter where they are there is no fuss, no muss!

This month, everybody who defeated the dogs gets a boon! Feel free to link to any threads (completed or ongoing) that will show your character getting involved in the event this month: only actual participation (not referenced participation) will warrant a boon. What about those who moved the bones? Bide your time, lads and lassies! The Black Shuck will have taken note...

If your character doesn't want to request a boon they may simply wave away the fairies/imps. It is not possible to "save up" Boon Requests for later events, so make sure to get yours in if you want one! Please try to think of a boon to suggest; wildcard boons will likely be saved for last.

Gendry will be provided two floor-length mirrors set in gilt frames, which will act as a portal between whatever locations he chooses to set them! Simply step right on through.

Both will, perhaps thankfully, look and function as any traditional mirror should.

POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: She's specifically looking for a magic way, since the PASIV wouldn't work outside of the Station. If this is too much, she'll also take an invitation to the Midnight Court (... which is also a lot but I figured I'd mention it) or guards/staff for her manor!

Dreamsharing is something we often limit with accepted characters, for the reason that it will actually be used as a mechanic later on!

But this will make it all better. And he'll be setting up this complex mirror portal system via 2 mirrors in every location he goes to with them leading back to Cothromach and a secret stash of tertiary portal mirrors hidden in his pouch. Just in case. He's gonna use that. Someday. Maybe. I don't know.

Clearly he needs to go other places to set them up.

POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: HAHAH remember those ideas i tossed around on the timeskip faq? yeah. trying to figure out how to get those started. basically, since mako and rizhao already communicate PRETTY well in terms of feelings and ideas, but not actual words, i'd like for him to have some help making a sort of special mental or spiritual where he can actually... talk to her, spirit to spirit, let her copy how he thinks to learn how to talk, etc. like, accessing the spirit world but not with the breadth and scope that someone like korra and jinora can.

(i was also thinking about maybe finding ways to upgrade it later, or have unintended consequences like... dragony-eye contact power bleedback but... lmao how about we take things slow.)

POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: OOC, I'd actually really like for Bolin to get some Nuktuk-related stuff from his mover star days! Film reels and a setup for projecting them would be neat, but I know technology is a super iffy thing in this madcap magic world, so just his costume or some posters/memorabilia or something like that would be awesome, too! If that's not cool, feel free to wildcard at will!

I don't mean for me! But when Pulse finally dies Chaos is going to be the last one in the universe, which is pretty sad when you think about it. You could put them in the stables or make them wild or something. It would just a shame if they go extinct...

(Also everybody keeps saying Chaos needs a girlfriend.)
POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: A wildcard is fine! This might be the most selfless boon request Lumina ever makes!

POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: The fairies are perfectly welcome to misinterpret his request and grant him a chocobo chick instead...you know, one he can train himself!

BOON REQUEST: A stronger bow, or the strength to use what he's already got more effectively.
POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: Honestly he probably needs training more than he really needs a new weapon, so whatever seems appropriate!

CHARACTER NAME: Diarmuid Ua Duibhne (Lancer)
CANON: Fate/Zero (Type-Moon)
FACTION: Seelie
RELEVANT THREAD(S): Fighting Demon Dogs (in progress) and talking to Flora about dealing with bones here. (I didn't end up logging him moving any bones, though, so take it as you will!) He also talked with poor Merida after she got attacked by the dogs here. Something that has also been planned, but not started, is a log where Diarmuid will be saving Grainne from some dogs once the war meeting at Caer Glaem is done. Obviously, though, that can't be started until we see how the war meeting goes!
BOON REQUEST: Since he had so much trouble fighting the elementals and the dogs without native magic, he would like either a magical weapon that would make fighting those kind of monsters easier or some magic of his own to help with such battles.
POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: Please fulfill this however is fitting for the amount of activity he has. He is most skilled with spears and swords, but he does have experience with other weapons as well. If magic is the choice, he has wanted to be able to use it since he was a child, so he will be happy with whatever might be given. If the boon is too much to ask overall, feel free to just wildcard him!

Edit: Because the most evil thoughts come once you have logged off for the night: It might be very amusing if he gets a weapon that he doesn't know how to use and needs to learn to use it first...
