This might be an odd question, but, well, my character actually worships a Stag god so...
Would anyone besides the two chosen winners get a chance to spot the White Hart, even though they, of course, wouldn't get anything more than that?
For example, my character isn't much of a hunter herself, though her wolverine certainly is. She won't think she's worthy of being the one to start the cycle of renewal anyway, but she'll still be determined to go, on the chance that she might see the White Hart and talk to him before his chosen hunter gets him. Now, she won't really be expecting to actually get a chance to see the White Hart, so she'll mostly be looking for a likely place to leave the offering she's going to be bringing and to pray to him, but she'll be doing her best to track too, on the off chance that he'd be willing to show himself to her. She'll also be going to heal any animals injured, but not actually taken by all the hunters tramping around.
And how likely would this tactic end up with her turned into an animal for seven days?
