Since she doesn't want to be on the monarchs bad side, she'll 'help' by sailing the Black Pearl along the southern boarder. She'll keep her high enough in the sky to avoid any normal land based attacks and have her skeleton crew on a 24 hour watch.

This keeps her involved while not really doing that much at all. Unless shit hits the fan. In which case she might fire a canon at you.
