Well, clearly he'll be spending most of his time around Spire 5, especially after the rings are closed during the timeskip. So something the helps him strengthen up that area or maybe lets Waver incorporate things into the building of it would benefit them both. Possibly Waver could give him incentive for Damon to make a place for Waver to do his Waver things (a coffee house/meeting house/whatever).
