THE GARUDA JOB: faerie noir

Are you
- an Unseelie Shardbearer?
- at Caer Scima instead of at the moon plot?
Fabulous, because there's a Seelie Knight lurking about with a load of magic feathers that make him ridiculously powerful, and the Brucolac has gotten all the guard patrols called off so that he can sort him out himself. Essentially, this is the same guy that caused all the trouble with the birds in September. The Brucolac has been charged by his terrible vampir father-in-law Tzilan to find the thief, but those high-up in Caer Scima will be expecting him to deliver the criminal to Morla. Personally, his plan is to deal with the thief himself and deliver the feathers back to the birds in order to preserve their autonomy outside of the Courts.
Though he might let the thief have a shot at Morla, first. If he can swing it in such a way that it looks, at least, like sheer incompetence on his part as opposed to actual sabotage.
This is all assuming he can actually find him.
So where do you lot come in? Maybe your character just sleeps all the way through it, who knows. He won't tell anyone what he's doing. However, you are welcome to:
- Have your magic-sensitive characters note weird flutters of energy around Caer Scima, given that the Garuda feathers are very powerful magical artefacts and also that the Brucolac's been fucking around with his own enhanced magic.
- Have someone see the Brucolac stalking about and decide, fantastically inconveniently, to follow him, whether out of curiosity, malice or just for fun.
- Have your character hear some mutterings around Caer Scima about how the guard patrols have been changed, and what's happening?? Is a Shardbearer Doing Something Ill-Advised? Again? (yes)
- Anything else you can think of.
