Hey fairybroskis! You know what time it is? Boon time!

Requests are up, which means the fairies and imps are out and about bothering people from their respective factions to note down the number one item on their wishlist again!

Wherever Shardbearer characters are in the Drabwurld, at some point today they will be approached by fairies or imps, depending on their alignment, bearing a piece of parchment and a quill. They will urge your character to write down a request for an item, power or favour from their monarchs in exchange for fighting or supporting their faction and they will take it away through a fairy-ring when it is written. There are three easy rules your character will be informed MUST NOT be broken:

1) "Do not call for time and space to be bent to your will!"

2) "You may not request another's true love or devotion!"

3) "Ask not for a road home or the loved ones whence you came!"

Essentially, the OOC boundaries relayed through IC means to your character are to avoid game-breaking demands being made. They will be approved, altered or denied here until 24th JUNE (00:01am LONDON GMT) so that when your character receives their boon on the morning of 25th (you can pick any time for them to be delivered/show up) no matter where they are there is no fuss, no muss!

For this boon period, your character gets a boon if they have a minimum of 1000 words written for EACH event, either as a narrative or threaded. They need a minimum of 1000 for the Dullahan Ride and another minimum 1000 for the Silver Sickness. NOTE: Wildcards are no longer be available. You must name it to claim it!

New this cycle? Characters who were not present for both of the boon events due to having arrived this month must have at least 1000 words for the second event to apply for a boon. These boons must be minor (tokens from home, small objects or gifts) and cannot have any powers or abilities. These boon requests won't be scaled, so more words won't mean bigger boons. This first boon is meant to be light.

Feel free to link to any threads (completed or ongoing) that will show your character getting involved in this event period: only actual participation (not referenced participation) will warrant a boon. As a reminder, quest logs are no longer eligible, increased wordcount or not, and participation in both events is required for boon eligibility!

If your character doesn't want to request a boon they may simply wave away the fairies/imps. It is not possible to "save up" Boon Requests for later events, so make sure to get yours in if you want one!

EDIT: A lot of you have super high word counts, this round! It makes us really warm and fuzzy to see all of you having such fun, but as an aside there may be some delays with boon distribution as we verify your threads (we'll probably get caught up reading them too, oops).

Some of you have approached us beforehand to discuss the logistics of getting potentially powerful boons this round. For those that haven't, but are looking to get them, please keep in mind that regardless of wordcount your boon will still only be so powerful. We always want to reward event participation, but must keep the game relatively balanced.

Two sides fighting over a great power... I can't help but notice the similarities. Has this war happened before? And if it has, is there anyone who knows the details of what happened the first time that I can talk to?"

Information. The war between the Seelie and Unseelie is remarkably similar to the Keyblade War for Kingdom Hearts, and that fact hasn't escaped Riku. The Drabwurld is ancient enough that he's guessing this isn't the first war for the Uaine Cridhe, but in order to fight effectively he wants to know what happened in the past--in particular anything that might come back to bite them in the ass the way the χ-blade has for him and his friends.

POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: HE PROBABLY CAN'T GET INFO AND THAT'S OKAY. So as alternate possibilities, maybe Komory Bat, since this isn't a Sleeping World and thus it wouldn't have any powers? Or, easy mode, money and a couple fireproof toys he could give to Kaio would be awesome. c: anything, really.

BOON REQUEST: Remus would not know what to request himself. He would perhaps just say something vague along the lines of "a way to help keep the Citadel safe", since he has spent so much time rebuilding/repairing it.
POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: If possible, I'd like for the interpretation of the request to be "a way to keep the Citadel safe from him". Thus far he has been spending his full moon nights transforming in Hermione's basement at Haven, but if possible I would like for there to be some sort of designated spot given to him at the Citadel that he might use to do the same. Especially if, should it come to that, he is for some reason unable to access Haven.

I would also request that this space be mostly out of the way BUT that there be perhaps some chance of finding it? Perhaps not during the full moon proper but as a curious "hey who put this room with a giant cage in it" here. And/or, similar to the shrieking shack, whatever room he is given for such purposes could be rumored to be haunted to keep people out? Whether it actually is or not can totally be open, although that would at least give some validity to the statement if so?

IDK I AM NOT QUITE CERTAIN but there are some variations what would you suggest? I am certainly alright with whatever interpretation of this that you guys decide, save that it does not make his condition known on a broad public level (such as giving him one of the cells in the dungeon -- there will be other people in there at other points and as such he would probably not use such an accommodation bc it would be suspicious and his secret would likely be revealed in doing so). I'm totally willing to discuss this further/compromise/etc!

It's an answer she's been searching for ever since her husband's machinations separated them, with no clear idea as to when she'll manage to find him again. She wants some proof that these people have any real power— to discern truths, or to grant wishes, or to just do something, and since all of her efforts have completely failed to track him down, to her it just seems like an unanswerable question and thus kind of a litmus test in her mind.

(The answer was revealed in a recent issue, though not to her: when her husband blew up their city, their son ended up in the hands of the time-traveling madman Kang the Conqueror, who's been holding him hostage and, at her husband's request, has taken him deep into the timestream to avoid the end of the universe. Good job, buddy.)

POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: If that doesn't work, some kind of scholarly work on the history of the Seelie court and it's politics and previous alliances/ceasefires/conflicts with the Unseelie. She wants to get a better idea of who these people are and how they operate.

BOON REQUEST: In her usual quick handwriting, with doodles on the side, Lumina has written "I need to be able to hide my shard, I can never sneak around anywhere in seelie territory anymore!"

POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: So I have two ideas for how this could go!

On the one hand, it would be an hour of shard concealment a day, starting when she teleports into a dangerous or seelie-dominated area. This would be pretty practical, she could tell when it was wearing off and skip back home. But it's not very interesting or fun to mess with!

The second one would be three to five minutes of shard concealment every time she teleports. But she can't control it. She'll know it's happening and know when it's going away, but if she's somewhere dangerous she has to pay attention to the hidden feeling and teleport to make sure it doesn't wear off, and never quite be sure how long it will last. And she could use it to play like 'blip the natives' when she's trying to be a distraction, popping in at various places and letting her shard concealment wear off, then disappearing again as he bounces around.

I am partial towards the second idea (clearly) but either one would work!

BOON REQUEST: An expansion on Aslan's ability to teleport! Currently, he can teleport anywhere in Glaschu, per the restrictions placed upon his abilities when he was apped. If possible, I would like him to be able to teleport anywhere in the drabwurld!
POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: If this is too much of an expansion, I would happily accept limits on this! Such as, he can only teleport to places he has seen before, or he cannot teleport into Unseelie territory (though it would be good if he could teleport back if he goes there the old-fashioned way)! An alternative would be expanding his Creation powers (currently his radius is 50 meters) or the ability to sense shards like the natives do!

BOON REQUEST: A long-lived wolf that's big enough to ride on, and can one that can magically become a weapon. The weapon being a ribbon-whip. It'd move like a flexible sword, cutting at the edges, and grabbing at the flatter sides. Think rhythmic gymnastics but with a lot more death.

Also if wolf-chan could come with a very pretty and ornate collar, that would be grand.

BOON REQUEST: DRAGON SIGHT. Mako’s been the “Dragonlord” ICly for the greater part of the last two years in the game, and I’d like to start having more and more of him reflect that title -- especially now that his firebending is temporarily down for the count with the rest of the fire magic. He’s had Rizhao in his mind for a long time, and I’ve been playing it with bleed over emotionally and in terms of thoughts themselves, so why not add the eyes themselves to the mix. Naturally, he wouldn’t have the hallucination inducing ability, or a lot of the broader, more powerful aspects of the dragon sight right away, but maybe an ability to speak to people mind to mind when he makes eye contact, and enhanced night vision? Bonus if his eyes look more dragon-y too when he does it.

POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: Before the timeskip, Mako received a ring that allowed him to teleport to anywhere in glaschu he’s been before. But, due to events that have put Rizhao in a lot of danger recently, I’d like it to be upgraded to allow him to take others with him, and to work outside of Glaschu -- especially since he’s planning on looking into the criminal ring that is trying to make a profit off of killing the dragons (Rizhao, Bridei, Draco, Aithusia) and selling their parts. He needs to take Rizhao for her mind reading, but he also needs to be able to get her out of places in a pinch, along with other allies. Either just the passengers or the expanded range without the other upgrade is fine!

Or a cat form so he can sleep on Korra’s boobs.

BOON REQUEST: Weapons transfiguration! The ability to transform non-weapon/non-weaponized objects into a weapon of equivalent size. For example, a stick turning into a sword or dagger (so no leaves turning into giant war hammers, only into small knives or arrowheads, etc). For alterations I would eventually like to get him a knighthood but that's... probably going to have to wait until I don't hiatus for a few weeks.
