Hello fairybros! The buddy system strikes again!

Even if we're post timeskip, this is just too good a thing to pass up and will be made regular going forward! And so, we'd like those of you with the inclination to step forward and offer your help to new players to fill out the form below and post it in the comments. Offer ways to get engaged, easy CR, or even just a friendly face to turn to OOCly if someone needs clarifications! Volunteer to be a buddy!

PLAYER NAME: Ty
CHARACTER NAME: Hiro Hamada
COURT: Unseelie
WHAT MY CHARACTER'S UP TO: /recycles from last meme. Hiro's the head of the Unseelie Research and Development department and is working with a few other key Unseelie to better Dorchadas. He's continually expanding his CR network and he's also taking on a handful of new projects for the R&D, working with some of the barons, and etc. He'll also be attending university in the fall!
HOW I CAN HELP: ICly, Hiro's been in the Drabwurld for a year and a half and if he doesn't have an answer for questions your character has, he will most likely know somebody he can direct your character to. His CR is primarily Unseelie but some Seelie are in the mix and he's close with some of the high-up Unseelie in-game. Your character needs something? Most likely Hiro can direct you to somebody who can help. Also just in general Hiro tends to talk to pretty much everybody. Additionally he knows how to make off-locket communication devices and he's been learning runic magic from Clarke Griffin along with some other magics from other characters.

OOCly I've been in the game for a year myself and I will make myself as available and helpful as possible for new players! I like to think I can answer most of the basic mechanics by this point and point people in the right direction for things they may need or want. Also I love helping people brainstorm and researching stuff. If you're unsure of how to approach something or what direction you'd like to take with a character I would like to help!
MY ADVICE TO NEW PLAYERS: /also copies from last time. (At least I'm consistent..) Never be afraid to reach out to people ICly and oocly. Take advantage of open logs! Open logs are a great way to get involved; personally speaking, some of my strongest and most fun CR has come from posting and tagging around open logs. The game has shifted due to the court-locked devices but don't hesitate to use the network as well.

Always, always, always be aware that this game can take your character down an interesting path that you may not expect and while having a plan is great don't forget to be flexible with things! I personally never intended Hiro to learn as much magic and get as involved as he has and now here we are. This game has seen a bunch of weird stuff that's turned out amazing and generally talking to your fellow players tends to spawn some really, really cool things. And never be afraid to ask for help! If you need clarification on something or you're not sure about certain mechanics/IC knowledge, talk to the older players! We're all here to help make sure everybody integrates to the game and that everybody has fun.
