Its his way of warning people off too bad no one in the Drabwurld except the other elves recognises what it means - if Faolan's been in close contact with Celegorm, he'd almost have certainly seen it, as Celegorm is likely to have it on his person somewhere too - I don't think he flaunts it the way Mags does, but as the Silmarils is a personal thing to both, so it'd have been a lot more of it around? Mags also sent a fairy shortly after Clarisse's post, with a message for the Seelie Queen - I don't know what happened to it, but if Faolan had any way of seeing it, Mags signed it with that emblem, rather than using his name.
