SEPTEMBER BOON REQUESTS

A little late again, but it's boon time! Requests are up, which means the fairies and imps are out and about bothering people from their respective factions to note down the number one item on their wishlist again!





Wherever Shardbearer characters are in the Drabwurld, at some point today they will be approached by fairies or imps, depending on their alignment, bearing a piece of parchment and a quill. They will urge your character to write down a request for an item, power or favour from their monarchs in exchange for fighting or supporting their faction and they will take it away through a fairy-ring when it is written. There are three easy rules your character will be informed MUST NOT be broken:

1) "Do not call for time and space to be bent to your will!"

2) "You may not request another's true love or devotion!"

3) "Ask not for a road home or the loved ones whence you came!"

Essentially, the OOC boundaries relayed through IC means to your character are to avoid game-breaking demands being made. They will be approved, altered or denied here until 24th SEPTEMBER (00:01am LONDON GMT) so that when your character receives their boon on the morning of 25th (you can pick any time for them to be delivered/show up) no matter where they are there is no fuss, no muss! The royal audiences are bi-monthly and the third is due to be held in October, which the fairies and imps will also be informing people.

This month, everybody who managed to find a feather of any kind gets a boon! Feel free to link to any threads (completed or ongoing) that will show your character getting involved in the event this month. Simply C&P the below into your comment:

If your character doesn't want to request a boon they may simply wave away the fairies/imps. It is not possible to "save up" Boon Requests for later events, so make sure to get yours in if you want one!

BOON REQUEST: Forgive my presumption, for I said I would not seek further from your hand, but with my brother now shardless and my mother now here, transport becomes a concern - if you could see fit, a wagon or some other chariot which might fit as many as needful and travel swiftly, or be able to pass the fairy rings. blue would be nice
POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: Can he get a TARDIS imean I am happy for you guys to manipulate this how you like, essentially this is him and Legolas trying to work out ways to get people without shards across distances rather than shuttling them one-at-a-time through fairy rings |D

As a heads up, shardless or natives cannot pass through fairy rings! Would you like to alter your boon in light of this..?

They have three shards (Legolas two, Maglor one) on hand though, and I've been told in PMs that these shards can be used for those without (so shardless and natives) to get them through the fairy rings? The boon request is so they don't have to resort to this.

Only shards taken through a character death (not dropping) still have any power! Those obtained by a character's dropping are unpowered. Unfortunately, the only way you'd be able to take more shardless/native characters through fairyrings would be to get more powered shards!

In this case, they still have one like that! So while it'd still take a while, it'd be faster than travelling from point A to B the regular way. However! I don't think it's relevant to the boon at all? The thing with the request is, again, so they can be independent from fairy rings (bc this one by one, there and back again, thing is a pain in the ass), so they don't have to use them at all, but instead could more swiftly travel with a large group consisting of both shardbearers and natives / shardless any other way.

That's a bit much of a boon for an individual who hasn't actively worked toward the goals of his court for some time!

BOON ALTERED

Maglor will receive a small silver token which will allow himself and one other individual to teleport through shadow to a place he has been before... but only by moonlight!

lol we weren't actually expecting a TARDIS especially as Mags will happily continue to NOT work towards his court goals. Or the seelie court goals. Or anyone's except his own and Legolas' really so this is fine thankee!
