APRIL CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Hey, fairybros! As a reminder, please keep an eye on the Timeskip Calendar, which we'll be updating again relatively shortly, and which has seen MANY updates since first being posted. A helpful player also posted a Timeskip Check-In Meme! You are free to log timeskipped encounters at your leisure, etc., etc., and timeskip logs on your character journal CAN count for AC, when it goes up at the end of this month!
But now on to equally important news and mod announcements!
HARTSLAYERS
Congratulations to Katsa and Diarmuid, who slew the White Hart over Yule! Fairies and imps will give these two white cloaks and 200 gold pieces, and for a time they will be called by Hartslayer.

Don't forget that you will need 1,000 words per monthly event to make boons! Boons WILL go up at the end of this month. The two events which will be counted towards boons are: the freezing event of last month and the harp event for this month.

The Song of the Harp GENRE: MYSTERY/MAGIC | DURATION: 01-25 APRIL |
SUMMARY Shardbearers throughout the drabwurld are plagued by the sound of a phantom harp from time to time, and find that their emotions tend to run far too deep when the haunting melody starts to begin! From wild ecstasies to deep depression, characters experience the gamut, seemingly uncontrollably. They even hear the strange song playing in their dreams.
Once asleep, characters can isolate and follow the sound to where a golden harp seems to be playing itself, in whatever setting their dream takes. Smashing the harp in their dreams will relieve them of their wild emotions.
By the 25th, the effect of the harp is mostly gone, even for those who did not smash the harp in their dreams. Some players may elect to have their characters play the harp, in which case something interesting happens, as demonstrated by this log with Dorian.

MONTHLY OVERVIEW
The next Calendar of Events post will go up toward the end of April to cover all of May, with the next Test Drive Meme up around a week before reserves open. Weather will consist primarily of hard, long cool rains, with a few blue skies. Nights are still chill but windless, with a little lingering snow in Dorchadas and other northern areas.01ST APRIL • EVENT STARTS. The harp begins to play!
03rd APRIL • Prominent bankers and economists throughout the drabwurld agree that Dorchadas is going through a renaissance and economic revival, following a more than centuries-long depression caused by the fall of Balla-Dorcha, the last Dorchadan city.
05th APRIL • Sightings of the White Hart have increased manifold, and he is often glimpsed along the paths shardbearers have healed of jabber-rot.
09th APRIL • TIMESKIP YULE LOG EVENTS POSTED BY MODS.
14th APRIL • A small earthquake is felt along the center of the drabwurld, from Daonna to Mair.
20th APRIL (00:01am LONDON GMT) • 1) The boon request post goes up on the OOC community. You will be asked to state your character's request and link to proof of having participated in the events. Mods will be around to approve or deny these.
24th APRIL (00:01am LONDON GMT) • Boon requests close!
25th APRIL • 1) EVENT CLOSES. 2) Approved or altered, boons are ICLY received today when characters wake up unless otherwise specified. 3) ACTIVITY CHECK.
01st MAY • 1) TIMESKIP IS COMPLETE, though backdated logs can still be posted and carried out at player discretion! 2) CALENDAR.

• I remember there being reference to an audience that either went up in March or April before the timeskip. Is this still happening, or is it being put off? And for IC purposes, should we assume that an audience took place in our logs or not? I've been vague in my future timeskip stuff, but for me (as someone new) I feel like it might matter if they got to meet their monarchs before the year started!
• You mentioned alternate boon things that would be available. Is that still on the table, or has it been postponed to post timeskip?

1) Timeskip snowballed waaay ahead of our tiny team, and another player just brought this up via PM! What we'll do is post a backdated audience and only have it open for 24 hours, and encourage players to please keep threads as short as possible. The plot mod currently has over 120 items needing to be addressed (from plot write ups for questers, assigning quests, PMs, logs, and more!) even before putting up a monarch audience, and for those who aren't aware, one person handles all of that!
2) This is being postponed to post-timeskip, essentially for the above reason!

Same with the harps, really. It was mentioned from tag-to-tag but I didn't necessarily put a ton of focus on it other than saying "this is in effect, my character acknowledges it as happening". ...hopefully that made sense.

The harp logs will be particularly lenient; as long as the music/strange state are consistently mentioned and characters are behaving accordingly, you should be good.

ALSO since this is relevant to both harp stuff and the quest: is it possible to overcome the exaggerated emotions before breaking the harp? Not necessarily to get rid of the effects entirely but to just sort of get a handle on it through lots and lots of
weedyoga, or something thereabouts.Thank you in advance, you guys are awesome!!

2) The harp won't be playing incessantly; just here and there! So it's perfectly possible for characters to experience periods of normality.

AS FOR THE SNOW-CLEARING EVENT
She hasn't met the boon requirement for that, either! Would anyone like to backtag? Paloma is Unseelie but not hostile toward-- well, anyone. Some common places she can be found are in Srathmarbh/spire 9, Loch Noa, random points between in the mountains and forest. But I can also possibly work something else out!

If anyone wants more threads for either unfreezing people or being emotionally compromised then you can hit Lancelot up for both!
Equally, if you would like your character to be trained to use their shard then Lancelot has sessions in March after the blizzard stops or July! I can also set up one in a different month if need be c:
Lastly, if you missed mod quests for April lance has plenty open to Seelie people still! Mostly one star, but it'll count towards an eventual level up even if it isn't an instant one if you're higher -- you can stack quests or just do 'em for fun c: His board is here with quests for building, exploration, scouting, healing, etc!

At some point, the harp is going to drive Draco into an uncontrollable rage. This will immediately be taken out on anyone and anything around him, humans in particular (sorry, guys, all the dragon slayers he's dealt with, always human). He will inevitably end the rampage by resisting the urge to actually kill anyone and taking flight to avoid causing further damage.
This will be the last time he is at Caer Glaem for the majority of the timeskip.
If anyone wants to log out trying to calm him down, fighting him, getting attacked by him, etc, let me know and I'll be happy to go toss a starter up for it.

Anyway, this month Mordred's self-doubt regarding her own worth as a person will be turned up to 11, making her a bit more nasty and stand offish then usual. She might also be dwelling on a few things she normally keeps hidden, so there is that as well!

What we're seeking is people who can help with her! While she has some very distinct weaknesses, the matter of actually accomplishing her murder after that is worrisome. They'll probably need some back up to even get to the point of taking advantage of the weaknesses, and also, they'll want a way to make it so that they can avoid ... direct blame for this.
We can work out who introduced whoever if you're interested and how to work it out. The only catch is that it can only be Unseelie only, as Jason (and presumably also Aeler) wouldn't trust a Seelie for this particular mission!

I'd been chatting a bit with FC about this and if the two of them would like a helpful friend, I'd be more than happy to fling Potter their way. He's got some CR/connections with Aeler that make it a pretty reasonable thing for him to get hauled in on this.
There's only one teeny, tiny caveat: from Samhain onwards to the end of the timeskip, Harry is in the form of a large, dog-like creature and spending much of his time running with Morla's Wolves. (It's sort of a vacation?)
