DOUBLING-UP ON AC

If you cannot make AC, you may DOUBLE-UP. This is an option that allows for players with extenuating circumstances (school, work, RL obligations) to pass with good faith. Doubling-up is easy! It's exactly what it sounds like: if you can't submit 10 network tags or 5 log tags this time, you are giving your word to submit 20 network tags or 10 log tags next month.

To Double-Up, please submit the following:

As Mods, we understand that sometimes real life can get hectic, so we're happy to implement this option. Please be aware that Doubling-Up is, unsurprisingly, to be used SPARINGLY. You cannot use it twice in a row and we will look into any incidents of the system being abused with an on-off-on-off record.

Please make sure you respond by ---August 31st 23:59pm London GMT.

NEW: Players who fail to check-in within the time frame will have 48 hours of leeway after it to do so, however please be aware that they may be penalised with an automatic double-up for the following month. Players who fail to respond at all after this time, who are not exempt, or who haven't notified a mod of extenuating circumstances will be swept from the game and will be prohibited from apping for one app cycle. Again, we understand that life can get hectic or that the game itself may not be a good fit for your character--that's perfectly fine, it happens--however, should this be the case, it doesn't take very long to fill out a drop form. As always, please inform us if you have any questions or comments!

August was my first month in game, but I was accepted in the round of reserve applications, so my first chance to post was July 29th. I was under the impression that this would still count for August AC, as there's no way for it to count for any previous round of activity for myself or the other player (who is also new this month!).

I apologize for the mix-up, and it's good to know that in the future, that's not the case. This thread begins on the 30th as well, however, there are 10 linear comments within the August period; if that doesn't qualify, I'll take another look around in the morning.

PASSED! You're welcome! Upon review we can see where there could be confusion on the matter and you bring up an excellent point besides, so in hindsight, your previous link is perfectly valid. (Or we're retroactively saying it is because there's no harm in counting it considering your date of acceptance)

In short, either way, either thread you're good and we'll be certain to revise the criteria to be more explicit going forward.
