Hey there, Fairypeeps! Lock here, mun of Korra (sangilak) and Artemis (infiltraitor) along with Laure, mun of Mako (jaywalks) here with an idea for you all!

A few weeks ago, a question was brought up to the mods re: the balls and parties that the castles hold every once in a while. In case you’re unfamiliar with this, each castle there’s a dedicated room for said revelries — and each court adds its own appropriate twist:

• THE REVELS (UNSEELIE)
Lanterns light this huge ballroom floored in onyx and threaded with veins of silver, drapes of rich purple velvet swathe alcoves where revelers take care of their passions in the murky half-light during festivities. Unseelie parties are wild affairs with little structure and mixed themes, hunts and orgies and magical flair coming together to create nights long pined for and never forgotten.

• THE BALLROOM (SEELIE)
Lit by thousands of candles, the mirrored walls of this delicately decorated white-and-gold paradise give the impression that a royal ball is never-ending. The ceiling is painted to resemble the midnight-blue night sky and white-gold encrusted diamonds are fitted into it to serve as stars instead of simply painted. It is close to the Great Hall.

The mods said that they relied on players to coordinate something of the like, and since then, we’ve been tossing around the idea of doing exactly that! The current idea we have floating around right now is to have a Samhain/All Hallow’s celebration, due to the holiday’s original pre-Christian roots in Europe, to celebrate the midway point between the fall equinox and the winter solstice. All you smart cookies out there might realize that such a party would fall directly at the end of October or, you guessed it, Halloween.

So basically what we’re asking is if there’s anyone out there who would be interested in a costumed/themed Halloween party (the modern-day characters would recognize it as such, though in the Drabwurld it would be referred to as something else). So far the details we have worked out right now is that ~~they’ll be in both courts~~ the party would take place over three days in neutral territory away from the castles for both courts as of this comment, the log(s) tossed up would be forward-dated roughly five days to account for any OOC plans players might have on Oct 31st itself. The party would be a relatively high-class affair — so sadly none of this, this, or this. Hopefully if your character can’t come up with an appropriate costume on their own, one can be provided by fairies/imps to encourage them to attend the party. Each player will be able to pick the theme for their characters' costumes, of course.

As you can see, this is a very bare bones idea right now, so we’re going to leave the floor open for more idea-tossing and such in the comments — so if you have anything to offer, please speak up!

I’ve already run this idea by the mods and they seemed on board with it — and they said if we can get ~~20 other players~~ 15 more players interested before October 1st, they’ll sweeten the deal by making the soiree extra special. As of this comment, the monarchs & other NPCs will be attending the party in disguise!
