NOVEMBER CALENDAR OF EVENTS

Hey, fairybros! November is a BIG MONTH in term of game developments! First, we'd like folks who have NPC/Black Shuck threads to know that these will be carried out to a sensible conclusion!

Secondly, we'd like to introduce the details on the time skipping mechanic! Please go here to review the info and ask any and all questions! Note that as a result of questions and interaction with the game's community, we may update or modify the mechanic, so please check back frequently!

As a note, the Quest Request will be opened in just a few days, with an ETA of November 05! This will be our first batch, and the mod team will approach all participants for the first month for criticism/reviews of the process en masse at the end of the month. We're not entirely sure how to gauge participation at this point, but expect that requests will be closed if it reaches unmaneagable levels, especially with the holiday at the end of the month.

With that in mind, we're also going to put out a blanket notification that all mods are likely going to have spotty activity for holidays this and next month, so as a general rule, expect that we may spend a little more time getting to requests and replies.

The Uprising Dead GENRE: ACTION/ADVENTURE | DURATION: 01-07 NOVEMBER

SUMMARY All over the land, unmarked graves are blooming with green sod and bright, fragrant tulips. The fairies whisper that Black Shuck is returning the Long Dead to the notice of the land, and will urge everyone to rebury the bones of champions in the crypts of the castles before fourteen days have passed. The fairies won't say why, but will be moved to tears if their pleas are not carried out. Even the imps will be frantic over the accomplishment of this task. The monarchs will issue decrees for each shard-holder to follow the instructions of the fae. On the seventh day, midway through the deadline, they will be persuaded by the monarchs to speak plainly: Black Shuck wants his dead honoured by Caer Glaem and Caer Scima alike, even within the Station's mile radius. If the mounds are not exhumed and the contents properly laid to rest, the Dog of Death will lay a sickness on the six lands.

Characters need not accomplish this; those that do may receive special recognition, while those who don't may receive unforeseen consequences!

The Uprising Dead GENRE: ACTION/ADVENTURE | DURATION: 15-21 NOVEMBER

SUMMARY The tulip mounds rot with the sunrise of the fifteenth day. From them rise up large spectral dogs with blank fiery eyes that roam the six realms and attack anyone with a shard. These, the monarchs will inform the realms, are the restless souls claimed by Black Shuck, cast out and damned until felled by the fearless; the trouble with slaying the hungry beasts lies in their ability to inspire ones greatest terrors to grip the heart. As a result, they are difficult to destroy. A royal command will be issued to all shard-holders, instructing them to fortify the castles and all those who are able to ride out and destroy the demonic dogs. Seelie and Unseelie alike will be granted a royal favour at the end of the month.

Since this is not a mass event, players are encouraged to plan and plot among themselves, and set up their own logs as appropriate!

01st NOVEMBER (01am IC) • EVENT START. The Black Shuck's will is known, spread via NPCs who have spoken to him at Samhain!
01st-07th NOVEMBER • Saralegui is proclaimed and formally announced Lord of Redgate. News of Reynard's defeat at Maupertius becomes known; his lands are now controlled by Ganondorf Dragmire.
05th NOVEMBER • QUEST REQUESTS OPEN!
15th NOVEMBER • The demon dogs rise and roam the Six Realms!
20th NOVEMBER (00:01am LONDON GMT) • 1) RESERVES OPEN 2) The boon request post goes up on the OOC community. You will be asked to state your character's request and link to proof of having participated in the event. Mods will be around to approve or deny these.
21st NOVEMBER • EVENT CLOSES. If the bones/dogs have been dealt with at player discretion!
24th NOVEMBER (00:01am LONDON GMT) • 1) APPS OPEN 2) Boon requests close!
25th NOVEMBERR • Approved or altered, boons are ICLY received today when characters wake up.
26th NOVEMBER (00:01am LONDON GMT) • ACTIVITY CHECK.
26th NOVEMBER (00:01am LONDON GMT) • RESERVES END. FFA BEGINS.
01st DECEMBER (00:01am LONDON GMT) • ACTIVITY CHECK ENDS.

The next Calendar of Events post will go up to cover all of December. Weather for this month will be bursts of cold rains with a few frosts and light snows, and mostly slate-gray skies. Nights and early mornings will be utterly frigid. Please feel free to use this as a plotting post. Beatrix will be at Mair recruiting soldiers when all this goes down, but she'll probably help some at gathering the bones. (And probably make her new recruits do it for her...) before I think journeying to Caer Scima to deliver them?

She can be involved in the fighting at either place, or if someone would like to travel with her?

Lumina is going to be conned by her imp slaves to help them gather bones for Caer Scima, and between the eight of them and teleporting, she'll probably gather up quite a bit! She most likely will sit the dog fighting out, though she'll turn up to help/annoy people as necessary. Anyone who wants to tag along with her on either one is great!

Annabeth will help with bones for Caer Glaem, and fighting the dogs! She's faced her worst fear before in the worst possible situation, so the effect will be a bit less on her than others, so if people near Caer Glaem need a demigod to sweep in and rescue them, she'd be down for it!

Minho will be all about helping with both parts of this event, and will be working around Caer Scima to make sure that things get done and people aren't hurt when the 2spooky doge brigade starts to run around. He's bothered by the whole pseudo-zombie thing, but he'll buck up and get the job done alongside his fellow Unseelie.

The fears is the biggest draw here for me but, Elijah Mikaelson will be looking to bury whatever bones he can. Being a thousand-plus years old and occasionally letting people in and losing them leaves you with plenty of respect for the dead. Having to cart his siblings around in coffins has nothing to do with it, nope. He has super speed+super strength so he might be more use here, honestly.


As for fighting the dogs, he won't be much use since he only has super strength and they're spirits but hey, gotta try. Fear-wise he'll be dealing with both his parents, who want to kill the abominations they created. A+ parenting, guys. If you need a meatshield tho hit me up.

Jack will be getting canon updated! From the 7th to the 14th, Jack will be in a deep sleep that will send him back to his world for 285 years which will have him go through the movie events and come back to the Drabwurld just after the end.

For the first part of the event (before he sleeps), he'll be hesitant about dealing with the graves, trying to stay away as much as possible, because of his sensitivities regarding the subject of death (namely because he now knows he's dead), but his intimidation of the Black Shuck will encourage him to at least help out a little in the end.

After he wakes up from sleep, he'll be heavily overwhelmed with coming back to the world after so long, but as soon as the attack happens, he won't hesitate to help out, especially with his buffed up offensive magic so BAM BAM BAM LET'S BUTT KICK /o/

Special note: Because Jack will be gone for a whole 285 years during his sleep, the relationships he makes beforehand will be very important while he's gone and will have a strong effect on his being, especially because he'll have to deal with being invisible and alone again for an even longer time. So if you'd want to develop a closer relationship with Jack and spend some more time with the bitty innocent babe before his heart gets torn apart, let me know! ♥

(Also, I personally will be on vacation from the 8th to the 16th so I'll be on pause during that week!)

CELEBRIAN: She's of the belief that people should always be put to rest properly. When possible. She's known occasions where the dead didn't get a proper burial back on Arda. So she'll help dig them up but probably not transport them. As for the dogs, she won't be fighting. And is more than likely (like 95% chance) to end up paralyzed in fear because her greatest of fears is orcs and the time she was captured by them. There's also the fear of something happening to her daughter.

PO: Po will be helping to dig up and transport remains back to Caer Scima since his Grace will give him a better perception of where the remains are or if someone missed bits. He'll also do his damnedest to fight the dogs later and fortify defenses despite his own fear (his Grace being discovered and abused).

Great little plot going on here and I'm eager for it. You even have the timing of events around my hiatus, now that's awesome! Quick question!

In canon, Rin buries gemstones underneath the earth in spots that are more magically inclined to help them charge quicker and is familiar with picking up the detection of ley lines as well. When the tulips sprout to indicate where remains are, would she be able to pick up any hints of magic and if so, what kind? She would be nosy enough to poke and prod before returning anything she comes across so I thought I'd ask. Especially since later on there's ghost doges

Rin is going to spend the first week of November or so being quite miserable at The Barrel. Recovering and just being overly grumpy, it will likely involve her getting thrown off a horse more than once. Stay tune for the comedy hour starring all of this. Once she starts noticing FLOWERS SPROUTING UP n SHIT she'll investigate the source briefly and then pass the chore on to someone else who enjoys getting their hands dirty.

She'll then be leaving and traveling with Saber for the rest of the event.

I will be on HIATUS from November 9 ~ 15 for DISNEY WORLD. Rin during that time will be with Saber and therefore I leave all godmoding rights to her player. I don't mind forward dating anything if you wanted to start something up prior and I'm definitely okay with backtagging if you want to start something after.

katsa will be around to help in all aspects! traveling with po is much more fun than traveling with strangers. and dealing with lingering grace fears too 🙈 which i would definitely be down for having them muddle through together. the mind-reading thing may also come up which will probably... help no one, sob. but working through it together.

at some point katsa's going to rescue thalia and i kind of want a huge pack of attacking dogs at once... but i'm okay with going any direction! :o
