BOON REQUESTS

Hey fairybros! You know what time it is? Boon time!

Requests are up, which means the fairies and imps are out and about bothering people from their respective factions to note down the number one item on their wishlist again!




Wherever Shard-holder characters are in the Drabwurld, at some point today they will be approached by fairies or imps, depending on their alignment, bearing a piece of parchment and a quill. They will urge your character to write down a request for an item, power or favour from their monarchs in exchange for fighting or supporting their faction and they will take it away through a fairy-ring when it is written. There are three easy rules your character will be informed MUST NOT be broken:

1) "Do not call for time and space to be bent to your will!"

2) "You may not request another's true love or devotion!"

3) "Ask not for a road home or the loved ones whence you came!"

Essentially, the OOC boundaries relayed through IC means to your character are to avoid game-breaking demands being made. They will be approved, altered or denied here until 24th NOVEMBER (00:01am LONDON GMT) so that when your character receives their boon on the morning of 25th (you can pick any time for them to be delivered/show up) no matter where they are there is no fuss, no muss!

This month, everybody who defeated the dogs gets a boon! Feel free to link to any threads (completed or ongoing) that will show your character getting involved in the event this month: only actual participation (not referenced participation) will warrant a boon. What about those who moved the bones? Bide your time, lads and lassies! The Black Shuck will have taken note...

If your character doesn't want to request a boon they may simply wave away the fairies/imps. It is not possible to "save up" Boon Requests for later events, so make sure to get yours in if you want one! Please try to think of a boon to suggest; wildcard boons will likely be saved for last.

BOON REQUEST: "Clothing I can use to fight."
POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: First things first, her physical attacks have no real effect, all she can do is provide support to others going against the dogs. If that doesn't qualify as fighting them, I totally get it!

Secondly, while she means the computer clothing she wore back home, that's obviously not going to cut it, so perhaps just some basic lightweight armor instead.

BOON REQUEST: the resources + investment to kickstart a fresh mine (gold, preferably) in the spinebacks.
POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: essentially this is sansa asking for a way to profit cothromach a little more without outright asking the monarchs for cold hard cash -- an investment in order for cothromach to get back in the black ink through a new mining venture. if this isn't appropriate, i'd only ask that an alteration still stick to the spirit of the request -- profitable but proactive.

BOON REQUEST: An animagus-ish ability to change into the stag from DoS, which he uses to see through/spy on the dwarves (or so everyone thinks, thanks Peter Jackson). Thranduil doesn't have many magical abilities like everyone else, and this one could be fun since it's still mostly a defensive measure like his Shutting Gift. Also hilarious because people would mistake him for the actual White Hart ingame.

He'll get a bright yellow-and-purple flower crown that never wilts or fades. When he wears it and walks in sunlight, he can choose to become briefly invisible. Invisibility will have a 1 hour maximum duration per use, limited to once a day.

Thranduil can now become the white stag on command! While the transformation back and forth is easy as breathing during the day, transforming at nights will be actively painful (old-school werewolf style uncomfortable) and hence take more time and concentration.

A small note will inform him that should he give them the command súgradh to these soldiers, they will grow to realistic size, voiceless fire-phantoms, who will follow his orders and commands. However, they can only retain this shape for approximately an hour before becoming toys again!
