Hello Fairybros! As you know, the timeskip is set for ONE YEAR! For those needing to read up on other timeskip info, here are some important links!
Timeskip FAQ,
Timeskip Vote 1,
Timeskip Vote 2.
ALL PLAYERS should thoroughly review these three pages.
LOGGING THE TIMESKIP
We request that each character in the game
who is not going to utilise an opt-out mechanism for the entirety of the timeskip to post a timeskip page on their journal. We have constructed a sample timeskip page for you
here. The code for it, with all time organisation in-tact, may be taken from the last comment on the page, or may be accessed below:
Players are free to design their own pages, of course, and it can be easily expanded to include additional years. These pages, in addition to organising what happens to your character, shall be used for logging out most of the events of the timeskip at your discretion. For March and April, threads logged on this page can be used to count for AC. We ask that most logs occur on these pages for smaller timeskip events so as not to clutter the log comms for those playing current events in March and April, with the exception (at your discretion) of logs featuring 3+ characters which are significant enough in scope that the greater Eachdraidh community might benefit from seeing them. Players should go ahead and begin filling the details of these pages in to the best of their ability, as we will be releasing the Timeskip CR meme (which will ask for a link to these pages) within a few short days.
For the benefit of players opting out of the timeskip, February, March, and April will be handled as normal, with
very low-investment events and boon opportunities. There will be no major battles or other events in-game but for boon events.
For those playing the timeskip, it may be helpful to portion up logging the timeskip by weeks. For example, using the last two weeks of February to log out Spring's events, the following two weeks to log out Summer, the following two weeks to log Winter, and so forth.
OTHER INFORMATION
Below is an elaboration of the general notable events which will occur in the drabwurld from
the beginning of March in IC year 2,701 until
the end of April in IC year 2,702. Individuals who have plans which may affect large areas of the drabwurld, or players who control major cities or areas should feel free to PM the mod team with information/suggestions, or post in the comments section below.
TIMELINE OF EVENTS
SPRING IN 2,701 (Mar, Apr, May) |
- FEBRUARY 08 - While the Unseelie fled from the ruins of Caer Scima, a figure moved silently across the Plains of Cathraon in the early hours of the morning, long before the sun rose. Shaded all in black and leaving no print or trace of travel, the phantom moved far from the shadows of the White Citadel. There, in the dirt in a place of no importance, a white sphere was buried far, far beneath the earth. With the task finished, the phantom vanished. Almost immediately the moisture in the air of the immediate air began to evaporate.
- MARCH - The new King of Birds, the Roc, brings late snowstorms across the drabwurld; shardbearers must combat its magic to un-freeze each other, natives, and whole areas. Monarchs are still around and boons still occur.
- MARCH 08 - After a full month, the brown grass of the Cathraon and the browned trees of the forests near the Citadel has faded away and been left with coarse and flowing sand. In a radius of thirty miles all around, the old landscape had given way to a new kind of wasteland. Plagued by violent sandstorms blown by brutal winds, the land has turned inhospitable. But the desert is not empty, for already sand worms have seemed to migrate into this part of the world. For now they stay far away from the White Citadel and keep to themselves, but their numbers will inevitably grow as the year marches on. To reduce redundancy, the manner of removing this curse shall be assigned by quests.
- APRIL - Shardbearers shall be struck at various moments by the sound of harp-playing which inspires distractingly, disablingly intense and wild emotions, but be unable to determine the source! Shardbearers will discover that they can follow the sound only in their dreams to the dream-image of a harp which magically plays itself. Smashing the harp in their dreams will disable the spell which affects their waking moments. This is the last month monarchs will be visibly around and which boons will occur.
- MAY - Characters opting out for the duration of the timeskip will be gone/asleep as of this month. Fairy rings will not work as of this month. Lockets will be non-functioning as of this month. Monarchs will be visible only to court leaders as of this month. No boons for further months until May. Monarchs will return the following May. Lockets will re-activate the following May.
- MAY - Golden swans will migrate to the mainland from the southern coast, devouring newly-planted crops and seeds; slaying them turns them into solid gold swan figurines.

SUMMER IN 2,701 (Jun, Jul, Aug) |
- JUNE - It becomes clear that the areas the Jabberwock spent too much time in will grow nothing and have become barren; includes areas around Caer Glaem, the Cothromach, the Station, other parts of the map. Shardbearers may attempt to heal these areas.
- JUNE - Treun holds its famous summer tourney! The purse is 5,000 gold marks for each of these competitions: Magical Duelling, Mounted Joust, and the Melee! The competitions go over the day, featuring many famed individuals participating in secret, and the revels continue over nights. A mod post will go up for this event.
- JULY - Violent anti-shardbearer demonstration in Daonna results in the hanging of a dozen Seelie and Unseelie shardbearers in the city square. Whispers insist that ancient shardbearer Martin Maskmaker is behind the clever fox-masks which magically hide the identities of the killers and help them leave no trace.
- AUGUST - Forest golems around the drabwurld begin waking and rampaging! No one seems to know why...
- AUGUST - Although the Cothromach's interior city grows more and more inaccessible by the day, Lady Keeper Sansa Stark opens the Sunsoak Markets just outside of her mountain gate. The trade conducted in this grand and open-air bazaar provides a convenient source of food and resources for the surrounding areas made barren by the Jabberwock's presence; at a profit, of course.
- AUGUST - Leathann's Festival of Lights is the second week in August, a curious local celebration timed to the arrival of fireflies which will this year mark the induction of the new Oracle; overnight the boats which comprise the Water Market all seem to have vanished, and natives float candles on the river out to sea and let paper lanterns fly, while in the distance the Tower of the Oracle glows golden through day and night.

FALL IN 2,701 (Sept, Oct, Nov) |
- SEPTEMBER - The magical power which allows shardbearers to understand Drabbish and each other goes haywire; affected characters will be heard speaking their native tongue! All their writing, however, will still be seen as Drabbish.
- SEPTEMBER - The annual Treun wreath festival! Harvests are very poor, but the spectacle and scope of the dancing, grain-giving, and public drunkenness are as riotously whole-hearted as ever. The festival ends in drunken bread-riots, however, and fires set in the garden district. The public calls for Fortuna to abdicate his position.
- OCTOBER 25-30 - SAMHAIN! Sun does not rise; characters can go wherever they please; Black Shuck makes another appearance; giant party on the Cathraon. Mods will post logs for this.
- NOVEMBER - Inmates from a magical island prison-colony of Leathann have escaped, and some manage to reach the mainland and begin causing havoc! The government of Leathann posts rewards for the return of these criminals, dead or alive. Many are legitimately dangerous mages and sorcerers; others are simply individuals who are debtors to the state and couldn't pay their taxes!
|
WINTER IN 2,701/2,702 (Dec, Jan, Feb) |
- DECEMBER - YULE! Giant hunting party with both courts trying to catch the White Hart! Mods will post logs for this.
- JANUARY - Caer Scima is at last entirely rebuilt, and grander than ever!
- FEBRUARY - Parrais holds its Ostara Feast! A local celebration of and competition in the arts, chalks harvested from the coast are all dyed and given to local children the full week before, and the whole city is mostly covered in their murals. By the feast's end, several famous elven artisans and musicians are found with their throats slashed.
|
SPRING IN 2,702 (Mar, Apr) |
- MARCH - The skeletons of unburied soldiers killed in battle begin to rise, devouring whatever living beasts or people they come upon until their skulls are struck off.
- APRIL - Great numbers of imps and fairies begin to go missing in both castles, to the point where many everyday tasks go unfinished!
