BOON REQUESTS

Hey fairybroskis! You know what time it is? Boon time!

Requests are up, which means the fairies and imps are out and about bothering people from their respective factions to note down the number one item on their wishlist again!





Wherever Shardbearer characters are in the Drabwurld, at some point today they will be approached by fairies or imps, depending on their alignment, bearing a piece of parchment and a quill. They will urge your character to write down a request for an item, power or favour from their monarchs in exchange for fighting or supporting their faction and they will take it away through a fairy-ring when it is written. There are three easy rules your character will be informed MUST NOT be broken:

1) "Do not call for time and space to be bent to your will!"

2) "You may not request another's true love or devotion!"

3) "Ask not for a road home or the loved ones whence you came!"

Essentially, the OOC boundaries relayed through IC means to your character are to avoid game-breaking demands being made. They will be approved, altered or denied here until 25th FEBRUARY (00:01am LONDON GMT; we've extended it a day!) so that when your character receives their boon on the morning of 25th (you can pick any time for them to be delivered/show up) no matter where they are there is no fuss, no muss!

This month, your character gets a boon if they battled between Feb 07-14, or assisted in saving/slaying the jabberwhelp! Feel free to link to any threads (completed or ongoing) that will show your character getting involved in the event this month: only actual participation (not referenced participation) will warrant a boon. For those using quest logs to count as both quest material and as boons, you could have gone a good measure over minimum wordcount to receive your boon: ideally having another 200 words or so.

If your character doesn't want to request a boon they may simply wave away the fairies/imps. It is not possible to "save up" Boon Requests for later events, so make sure to get yours in if you want one! Please try to think of a boon to suggest; wildcard boons will likely be saved for last.

POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: This is essentially a wildcard, I'm sorry. Renly wants to be able to offer assistance/protection to Sansa and he's not as much of a soldier as Loras might be; he lies better in justice and law. Anything that might relate to that would be really cool!

BOON REQUEST: The mask Bucky wore as Hydra's asset, augmented with some powers. I'd like it to be enchanted so that when Bucky wears the mask, he will be unnoticeable. Not invisible, but when people look at him, their eyes sort of slide over his presence. When they talk to him, they won't remember the conversation after. He'll be unmemorable, unnoticeable, and his shard will be hidden so that his presence is essentially that of a ghost.
POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: Maybe people he considers friends will be completely unaffected? idk if this is too much I'm willing to take something else.

Congrats man! Berserker's ability to make anything he touches a weapon is one of of my favorite Servant abilities ever! One Diarmuid's abilities are like a perfect counter for ironically enough.

BOON REQUEST: "I would like to find a way for the Black Shuck to forgive me. If he refuses, I will accept something else of your choosing." Basically, Lancelot doesn't want to scare away animals anymore, because Alice likes them.
POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: If the Shuck will not forgive Lancelot, he won't mind it if he can use his disguise-magic to hide his shards.

Ellie will be able to control shadows and darkness in a fashion similar to the titular character of the comic series, The Darkness: at her will shadows near her can take the form of truly horrific, saw-toothed eel creatures which at her command can attempt to devour or bind her opponents.

At this beginning stage, she'll only be able to summon a half-dozen shadow servants, though training can increase their size and their number.

POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: Really though, he just wants anything that'll give him an edge since he's baseline human. If it makes him more careful about what he wishes for in future, o well.

Have you ever heard of a skeleton key? That's what I want. Not just something that can unlock chests, bust open cages, and open doors, but something that can make doors. That can let me in to even the best locked rooms. That's what a treasure hunter does, right?"
POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: It's up to you how much this "skeleton key" can or can't do if the boon is granted! Also, I just wanted to note that I filled out the map as discussed for Chloe's last boon per what we discussed: HERE. And I await the your results!


CHARACTER NAME: Bethany Hawke

RELEVANT THREAD(S): Link #1 Link #2 Link #3 When the Jabberwhelp attacked, Bethany did everything she could to help save/heal people, as well as keep them safe from the creature. She helped at Caer Glaem and Cothromach.
BOON REQUEST: "I'd like more of my magic to be made accessible to me. Thank you."
POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: Bethany's original application was approved with the use of one of her magic trees unlocked (I chose creation). If approved, pick any other tree/spell she might be granted for her boon. The spells can be found under Abilities located on her app: HERE.
