Oh man haha Legolas wouldn't ask him personally, out of respect! Since this kind of a job would normally go for marchwardens and such, but Legolas definitely would welcome him if Elrond offered! I'm planning on making a post about it (since I find it'd be best to recruit like so) and he'd be quite at ease with another elf and esp. one of Elrond's calibre. o/
