[PLAYER PLOT] Assist Void Refugees: Evacuate the Coasts

Greetings Drabwurld...ians? I'm coming to you seeking some assistance!

Asami has a ★★★ quest this month (ala our favorite wolfman John Grimm) and she needs a few (or many) good fellows to help her out with it. As we all know (and some love) the Void is looming and encroaching on the coasts, which threatens the local villages that live nearby. She's accepted the responsibility and opportunity to help organize the evacuation of several settlements along Northern and Southern Leanna. (Convenient link to the big map if you're wondering where it is--South Western side of the continent, east of the Greenwood and south of the Troichean Benn and Loch Caoidh.)

This is clearly not a one woman effort! She needs to pull on the resources and connections she has now as well as make new ones for the following...

☚☚☚ It's so pretty! Save it!

★ Escorts for refugees (paid mercenaries are acceptable, although Asami isn't loaded)
★ Anyone with available transportation for groups of people
★ Funding/supplies for the movements of peoples
★ Anyone familiar with the lands to the south who could help navigate it
★ Anyone in a higher position politically/militarily to help offer any of the above, if they're not too busy with the giant dwarven monsters.

This quest is going to take up most of the month of September for her (and realistically the ends will likely bleed into the beginning of October, but for the sake of plotting, September). However I don't expect all characters to give up that same amount of time. I'm planning on it taking place from September 7th through September 29/30th, so if your character would have interest and a few days during that time frame, please feel free to take part!

Since some of the planning will depend on who she can get to help, I have a loose timeline in mind for how events may transpire...

★ 07~10: Making her way from the Station to the Citadel to Caer Glaem to talk to anyone there who might help. (She's borrowing the flying bison, which makes traveling for her a lot easier for this.) POTENTIALLY A LOCKET POST for anyone she may not see in person.
★ 11~15ish: Hit up Northern Leanna, talk, organize, talk to local NPC lords, etc.
★ 16~20ish: Start the evacuation of several towns
★ 21~25ish: Hit up Southern Leanna, talk, organize, talk to local NPC lords, etc.
★ 26~30ish: Start the evacuation of several towns

She obviously can't be in all places (and definitely not all towns) at once, which is why she needs people to help with the actual movement of refugees. The end goal would be to get them closer to the mountains and eventually move them, or get them headed safely towards Parrais, or that area. I am also VERY OPEN to new input and ideas on where you think would be best for them to head.

Given that it's for the better of the world and because of her own reservations, Seelie, Shardless, and even Unseelie participants would be welcome. The latter she would be more cautious of because of court alliances and the upcoming battle, but if it's someone who a.) somehow on that side of the world at the time and b.) is trustworthy, she would be okay with it. If your character wants/requires something in return for their assistance...we can work it out! She'll try to reward anyone she can, if it's within her ability to do so.

This is the first thing I've tried to organize and I'm super stoked for Asami to get this opportunity. The Void is a scary thing, ok. Operation Leathann Lift-Off is currently scheduled during the period Asami would be gathering assistance, so assuming it's successful (Gil won't be in much of a mood to help otherwise) I can have Gil lend his strength to the relief effort.

Gilgamesh is Shardless, and as such can reach across Court boundaries. He's immensely powerful, super fast and super durable, and can do a great deal of any heavy lifting that's required. He can also arrange for some funds on his end to aid the evacuees and potentially provide airship support; this is tentative, as I'd have to talk to some other players about this first.

Again, all very dependent on what goes down in Leathann, but tl;dr if the venture succeeds, Gil will throw his weight behind this next.

Niko's going to be doing a quest for Kirei to help out the youngin's he carted in before. Would you want to help each other out with mutual quests?

Dick would volunteer since he'd be up to helping and he knows Asami is close to Korra! THAT SAID!! he maaay also end up in the middle of a battle and idk how OOCly free I'm going to be since beginning of school... but at the VERY LEAST he'd be up for helping her organize things!

Asami has Terra's axe help if she requires it and, like I said, this would be a good opportunity for me to incorporate his own quest into things b/c orphans. Mer's participation depends on what happens with Leathann of course

You know how much I would appreciate it, as would Asami! Just let me know what happens with Leathann (ROOTING FOR YOU) and she would be so very glad to have his assistance, even if she was unsure with him in the beginning. (Funny how things start to change, right?)

Yeah, that would work out well! Saving people from impending doom seems to be the theme of the month, doesn't it? Is there any particular place he's going to be working from?

Ahhh, yes! She would love to have either and both of them if it works out. Is there any particular area that Terra is working on his quest? Or would Leanna count for it?

Awesome! Asami was relatively close with Hercules, too, so maybe she's heard of him? Either way, if he's even able to help with one village or leg of the journey, it would make a difference.

He's taking up be a good person, okay from this quest board, and I gotta find the map of where Kirei's orphange is, but I was going to have him go raiding for supplies/food/etc as part of it. In the process they can help each other out?

Luke's in a position of political power, so he can definitely talk to any of the lords who are a bit harder to convince? he's a good speaker and he's pretty cunning himself, so he'd be able to at least negotiate/bargain with them if it comes down to it! and, if not, just kidnap people. it's cool. I can honestly slot him in whenever time-wise and doing whatever for you since he's going to try and be a proper Marquis and not be stupid this time when it comes to his duties.

I'd offer Zuko but I'm pretty sure he'd get into trouble for being in Glaschu, given he's the Unseelie equivalent to Luke wrt being a recognised knight of his court. HE'LL BE ROOTING FOR YOU, ASAMI. if she wants any advice, he'll ... try and be Fire Lord Zuko for her. #teamasami

I think that would work! I can't seem to find it on the map either, but I know that one of his orphanages is by the Citadel, IIRC. She might be able to possibly send some orphans along with him as well?

She's going to have some suspicions because she's visiting the Station before this, but he can definitely confirm it. (She'll be pretty sad. Herc was wonderful.)

LMAO Kidnap people...Yes, though! She could possibly hit him up on her first leg of the journey when she's at the Citadel? This could also work well in seeking him out later when she eventually gets the airship stuff together, too.

I WILL DO WHATEVER YOU WANT. which doesn't help, but if there's any spaces you find need filling, Luke will gladly help Asami over and over! she can definitely hit him up at the Citadel! he's usually bumming around Glaschu so I can easily shove him at the Citadel doing Citadel things so they can bump heads and she can meet his family.

how is this even a question! there's a 99% chance george and martha will be there so they'll be #teamasami and encourage him to not be Dumb and go with her. and, hey, there's always his gossiping cows! if they need to blackmail these lords, those cows have big hair for a reason ... or his foxes can go fetch documents or what have you off their desks. really, the mischief is endless here ...

Dick lives at the Ststion so they could definitely meet up there! And he also has Herc's compass so if she messages it he'll respond. Umm earlier in the month is better tbh (I'm gonna take a mini-hiatus after the 9th for about a week) but lbh if I'm threading I'll keep threading and will also thread into infinity

OKAY I was right! So it is kind of WAY opposite of Leanna, but that doesn't mean that they can't combine their efforts. She will be trying to move people away from the coast, after all, and supplies will be needed no matter what.

Oh, perfect! I was planning on her trying to reach out to him while she was at the Station, so she can run into Dick there and he can become part of the plan? She'll be at the station before she heads back to the Citadel on the 7th, if that works for you?

THE COWS. I still can't believe that's an actual thing. Can he bring all his animals? I feel like that would be difficult to transport. BUT OKAY it's settled. She'll find him at the Citadel and then he can come with her. Has he ever rode a flying bison before??

Oh yeah, which reminds me, Zuko will get to see Appa since she's been borrowing him. He'll be at the Station.
