MOD: App Format Update, App Challenge News & Meme Links
Hey, Travellers!
Our first app round is over and we have an incredible number of players already in the game, something that both surprised and delighted your mods! First off, we'd like to thank you all for your interest and patience with us (we had some hiccups along the way, for sure!) and let you know that we'll be doing our very best to ensure the game is fun for everyone.
This is just a quick update to let you know that the application format has been tweaked as a result of everything that was learned over the app period. We had an equal number of revisions and clear-cut acceptances, so hopefully we'll be cutting down on the former in the future. Sample apps have also been added using the previous format to give people a general idea of what we'll be looking for next time. These will be updated after May!
A few people are still confused how reserves and apps operate (what happens when your reserve ends!) so weattacked photoshop made a chart to clear things up:
A topic of heated debate has been App Challenges. Owing to RL obligations (work, education and family), ED will not be hosting these and the App Team has opted to use the Free-For-All period. With FFA the reserved slot is allowed a fair amount of time to draw an application together and safely submit it ahead of anyone else. If it isn't submitted by the time FFA begins, the first person to submit their app for that slot to the Mod email will be reviewed. This is simply a matter of time management - it would take twice as long to process two apps for the same slot if App Challenges were implemented, factoring in our other responsibilities, and is not at this time a feasible route to take. In essence, we are working within our means and hope you can understand our position.
The dates for the re-opening of reservations and applications will be specified after the Activity Check on the 26th, for anyone eager to know, and the APRIL Calendar of Events is already up if you need to reference anything else going on in the game this month.
