Thorin Oakenshield, from The Hobbit (following movie canon here). Info post on his journal, but he's basically short, grumpy, rough, a little mean at times and generally not very pleasant. Also he trusts none of you least of all those elves walking around the place. Oh yeah, he's Seelie.

HI RICKS, i'm em and i have this book!canon thranduil over here who will be probably 100% more likely to talk to thorin (who's been dead a while, oops) and will even make that effort over the lockets if he notices him, while on a road trip to pick up his injured babyleaf from the station.

trying to think of quickfire differences between bookduil and movieduil, hmm hmm. he never took his army to erebor, which i imagine will just end up in a lot of YES YOU DIDs and NO I DIDN'Ts because #maturepeople, didn't fight dragons (too busy fighting feanorians when they wrecked his first home, yo), he has the whole 'my people genuinely thought you were attacking them three times at their revels' thing (a better reason for thorin's company to get banged up for two weeks than OUR FOREST, GET OUT), and respects how thorin went down in a blazing ring of fire at TBOTFA. the latter of which he'll ... keep to himself ...
