+1 surly spy/assassin

Hi there! I'm Teresa and I'm a brand new player to the game here, bringing you a brand new character that you've probably never heard of before either haha. Some of you may recognize the PB I'm using as Jamie Dornan as the Huntsman from Once Upon a Time, and this is because I have very limited period-accurate PBs to work from, so things might be confusing if that character himself shows up haha. In any case, his name is Faolan, from Juliet Marillier's The Bridei Chronicles historical fantasy/fiction trilogy/series. He is the Gaelic assassin/spy/adviser/councilor/right-hand-man/friend to King Bridei I of the Picts. ALSO he is from the mid-500's AD so his sense of technology and history is rather limited to that. He is sarcastic and somewhat surly, and pretty to-the-point conversationally speaking. He is his own man with his own set of rules and as long as people let him do his own thing then he'll be golden. Just don't ask him about his past, don't expect him to be particularly happy (he just had his heart broken :( ), and don't be surprised if he doesn't want to hang out in any sort of gathering where there's music and singing. (Long story short, he used to be a bard until horrible things happened to him and he decided the only thing he was good at was killing people SOBBING.) OH ALSO he is Unseelie here in Eachdraidh because he thinks it is rather foolhardy to follow the rules for the rules' sake.

Hello! I recall seeing him reserved and was pretty excited about it. I play Patrick Harper here, who is a proud Irishman who is like super invested in Irish folklore and ancient heroes and the like. If he was in high school, he'd have Cuchulain plastered on the inside of his locker. So he'd be pretty pleased to know a fellow Ulsterman about. Even if he is Unseelie.

But also I'm Masa. I also play Gendry from A Song of Ice and Fire and Ganondorf from The Legend of Zelda.

hahahaha well technically he is a leinsterman, since he is from laigin, but he definitely is old irish blood, that's for certain. he's even a member of the ui neill family, related to the kings of tara, albeit distantly, so that will be a pretty cool thing for them to talk about, should it come up :')a i imagine it would, especially if they ever meet somehow, faolan has "the look" of a high-bred irishman asjdiofjiodaj IRISH THINGS I AM EXCITED

hahaha and faolan can just be confused because he's never met any brits (that he knows of), his employers are the picts, and he will be kind of sad to know that history does not work out their way although he won't really be surprised, they're kind of fighting a losing battle against the irish of dalriada etc. still though. he's from the 500's so his sense of history/technology is rather limited >>

hahaha it's so rough, man, i picked him as a pb before there were all that many people playing from once and figured that i would be safe enough because of that, AND NOW LOOK WHERE WE ARE haha. like the huntsman is probably even a little too modern for a pb for him (we're talking like, the 500's here), but it's as close as i'm gonna get, SO WHY NOT?

he really is pretty dreamy in a broody kind of way >> oh gosh does that mean that you glanced over his info page? i feel bad that it is like a novel of information but there really is almost nothing out there otherwise, so i kind of had to do...all of the work. like sitting down with the novels in front of me and everything haha, it was intense.

AND GOOD! i have added you back i believe :')b faolan will probably be the only one i play here, for a while at least while i try to find my feet and figure out how everything works. but he seemed perfect for the setting so i thought why not give it a go!
