BOON REQUESTS

A little late, but it's boon time! Requests are up, which means the fairies and imps are out and about bothering people from their respective factions to note down the number one item on their wishlist again!


Wherever Shard-holder characters are in the Drabwurld, at some point today they will be approached by fairies or imps, depending on their alignment, bearing a piece of parchment and a quill. They will urge your character to write down a request for an item, power or favour from their monarchs in exchange for fighting or supporting their faction and they will take it away through a fairy-ring when it is written. There are three easy rules your character will be informed MUST NOT be broken:

1) "Do not call for time and space to be bent to your will!"
2) "You may not request another's true love or devotion!"
3) "Ask not for a road home or the loved ones whence you came!"

Essentially, the OOC boundaries relayed through IC means to your character are to avoid game-breaking demands being made. They will be approved, altered or denied here until 24th AUGUST (00:01am LONDON GMT) so that when your character receives their boon on the morning of 25th (you can pick any time for them to be delivered/show up) no matter where they are there is no fuss, no muss! The royal audiences are bi-monthly and the third is due to be held near October, which the fairies and imps will also be informing people. This month, everybody who managed to slay one of the shadow-beasties gets a boon! Feel free to link to any threads (completed or ongoing) that will show your character getting involved in the event this month. Simply C&P the below into your comment:

okay now that I'm thinking about things-

Can the Maidenfish be touched/injured/killed like a regular fish and/or person can? Can they also swim in the water? do they always wear the same outfits?

The Maidenfish may be killed! And will let themselves be killed should their lord wish it.

They can swim in the water with no issue; and even seem to prefer it!

They always wear the same outfits, and if for any reason divested of them (particularly their veils) they'll no longer be able to take a fish form.

Would they no longer be able to take fish form even if they put their clothes back on? (THERE HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY TO PHRASE THAT...)

Do their fish forms have teeth? (aka can they bite people who annoy him)

Yes! As long as they're able to recover their clothing, they'll be able to return to fish form just fine. But they'll be nervous about it.

They have quite sharp teeth in both forms. In their natural mode of operation, they'll lure and enchant sailors to swim with them, use their gauzy fins to help drown them, and then... dinner. They'll act more politely in deference to their lord, but each one of them should be considered potentially dangerous.

The 14th and last of the tablets fashioned with the power of the shards which had belonged to the First Shardbearers, said to be capable of almost anything when assembled together. Changing the face of the world, of other worlds... They go on to say that over centuries, the first 13 began to seem to disappear from the drabwurld, and that the 14th had been broken to curse the Wandering Knight of the Eithne.

"Who is Isengrim?"

Isengrim was an immensely powerful warrior and werewolf who became a great enemy of the Unseelie, and successfully slaughtered full dozens. Because of his brutality, he had earned the enmity of many, though his great strength was such that few foes could stand against him. It was he who'd first killed Reynard the Fox in pitched battle.

Kaldur'ahm will be given a strange eye amulet, wrapped in velvet cloth. If he holds it in hand in morning's full light, he may catch a six-second vision of events happening concurrent to those seconds in one location he has visited before in the drabwurld.

Zuko will be afforded a ring fashioned of some strange, red metal. It's simply, only a simple band. Once a month, after the sun has set, it will allow him to wield powers comparable to those he might wield during the rise of the comet.

He'll be given a set of light scale armor which, strangely enough, shifts with him from human to wolf form! It'll protect him well from arrows and sword-thrusts.

ANTHONY: BOON APPROVED..?

Anthony will be given what looks to be an odd quartz sphere that fits neatly in the palm of his hand. Whenever he says the word 'light', however, it will radiate a soft luminous glow: more than enough to light his way, wherever he is. This light will actively wound creatures of darkness or shadow.

As requested, Kevin will get a smoothly cut emerald which will function as an eye. It will allow him to see the magical power of individuals as a coloured aura about them.

The second it is in the hands of someone else, the eye will close; it'll become just ornamental jewelry.

Faolan will receive a single small black stud earring. It's simple, just a pearl of black metal, and utterly unassuming. It's tucked in a hand-folded note with an envelope which instructs him that when he wears it he'll be able to teleport between the gardens of Caer Glaem and Caer Scima.

It will work in no other locations, however.

Noted o7 Hahaha poor Kaldur! He's gonna be healing tub bound for a while and he's been practically nowhere! Just roughly outside Caer Glaem and then to Redgate!

He tries to give it to his more adventurous Team mates and it's like "nah bruh sucks for u" . Sits and frets over 6 second glimpses of Korra and Cassie pulling dumb stunts.

The imps bring her a slim leatherbound tome instructing her on how to master illusions! Inside are several spells, including:

+ how to create mirror-images of ones' self, appearing to be several places at once all in the same room!
+ appearing to vanish into thin air! (only lasts 60 seconds... just enough time to run!)
+ an illusion to look like an alpha werewolf! (sometimes seeming big and scary is all you need!)
