January Boon Requests

Hey fairybroskis! You know what time it is? Boon time!

Requests are up, which means the fairies and imps are out and about bothering people from their respective factions to note down the number one item on their wishlist again!




Wherever Shardbearer characters are in the Drabwurld, at some point today they will be approached by fairies or imps, depending on their alignment, bearing a piece of parchment and a quill. They will urge your character to write down a request for an item, power or favour from their monarchs in exchange for fighting or supporting their faction and they will take it away through a fairy-ring when it is written. There are three easy rules your character will be informed MUST NOT be broken:

1) "Do not call for time and space to be bent to your will!"

2) "You may not request another's true love or devotion!"

3) "Ask not for a road home or the loved ones whence you came!"

Essentially, the OOC boundaries relayed through IC means to your character are to avoid game-breaking demands being made. They will be approved, altered or denied here until 24th JANUARY (00:01am LONDON GMT) so that when your character receives their boon on the morning of 25th (you can pick any time for them to be delivered/show up) no matter where they are there is no fuss, no muss!

This month, everybody who participated in war preparations gets a boon! Feel free to link to any threads (completed or ongoing) that will show your character getting involved in the event this month: only actual participation (not referenced participation) will warrant a boon. For those using quest logs to count as both quest material and as boons, you could have gone a good measure over minimum wordcount to receive your boon: ideally having another 200 words or so.

Wildcard boons will almost always be done after the boons of characters with concrete requests, and for this reason are likely to take longer.



If your character doesn't want to request a boon they may simply wave away the fairies/imps. It is not possible to "save up" Boon Requests for later events, so make sure to get yours in if you want one! Please try to think of a boon to suggest; wildcard boons will likely be saved for last.

1. Brass sickle with teleporting abilities located in an ancient grave
2. Marble holy symble of an old god of protection
3. Zircon dwarven statue
4. Void-Wrought Key (no one knows what it opens, found in the ruin of Caer Scima)
5. Ancient sun-relic artifact of the old elven kingdom, supposed to be able to summon the Hart
6. Mythic cloudwhale graveyard
7. Siren treasure trove
8. Ruins of old Merfolk histories half-washed onto shore
9. Old magical water-magic relic guarded by the Sisterhood
10.Old vampire day-hideout ruins with ancient tapestries and records of vampire lore
11.Old crown made of shed tines of the Heart; allows one to transform into animals
12.Dwarven gauntlets of lore, imbues fire resistance
13.Sunken beneath the lake is the waterlogged ruins of an ancient castle
14.The hollowed-out and abandoned ruins of a castle and city carven out of crystal
15.High in the mountains, a site of worship to the sylphs, the crags are scattered with thousands of small silver bells
16.An old carven stone tablet of elven lore
17.An old gathering-spot for witches of old, a massive plinth made of thousands of human bones and steeped in magic. Inside is a silver skull which speaks
18. A creaky old shipwreck which contains a well-preserved treasure of silks and spices
19. Hoard of gemstones collected by fairies
20. Giant cave booby-trapped to guard a 300 mark pirate treasure

Wooow. That's seriously beyond awesome and far more work than I expected you to do! You rock! :O

I plan on using some of these as logs and getting other people involved for timeskip stuff.

Due to travel, I figured one treasure per month on months when she's treasure hunting would be reasonable, but let me know if I'm wrong on that. Two maybe if the two spots on the map are really close to each other.

If Chloe hunts alone, should I 'log' it out as a 1k word thing like the quest style writing?

Also this is a lot of cool stuff for just one character, and it's not my intention to have her ridiculously powered, so I hope it's okay if Chloe ends up giving some items to other people. That will all be logged, of course!

While, YES, it is a lot of cool stuff for one character, you're willing to self-moderate and take it as a long burn quest to... well, collect 'em all! c: You're doing substantial legwork for each one, and we trust you with doing things in a reasonable fashion!

Great! And yes, even with a year of timeskip I think she'll only be able to uncover a handful of these.

Clearly I will be on this game forever... XD
