Attack of Wild Edric: OOC UNSEELIE PLANNING

Hey unseelie team!

I figured we could all use a place to begin coordinating and information-sharing with teammates! I'll be updating lists as people sign in!

TEAM MOON

Loki[personal profile] liugan
Deucalion[personal profile] scission
Eren Yeager [personal profile] andallbite
Peter Hale[personal profile] infame

ROUGH PLAN: May be split into groups which cover different geographic areas!

TEAM STARS

Waver Velvet [personal profile] gordianknots
Alisha Bailey [personal profile] aphrodisiacs
Ariadne [personal profile] boutant
Anders [personal profile] untranquil

ROUGH PLAN: Setting up a well-hidden safe haven, providing ad-hoc medical services. Nothing yet on how to keep the camp on the DL?

TEAM SUN
Grell Sutcliffe [personal profile] erythristic
Ganondorf [personal profile] dragmire
Celegorm [personal profile] avisionofwar
Skullkid [personal profile] jyng
Damon Salvatore [personal profile] withbite

ROUGH PLAN: Divided into bear-handlers who take shifts between bear-managing and a general company of warriors who aid it in causing death and destruction. These warriors may be taking along primitive incendiaries/other fancy fun things to cause an additional element of chaos.

Kido's ability allows her to conceal anything within a two meter radius of herself, which also includes sound so it's easy to talk freely without any Seelies hearing them, either! She can also shift the focus of it to reveal only certain things within that radius without showing the rest so yes. It's pretty useful!

As for goals she'll want to help Kano sniff gain the identities of a few Seelie if possible but mostly she'll want to get in and out. She'll still go with the group majority though if people want to use her to explore around.

She'd be happy to hear that since she worries her ability isn't as useful as others' here!

But she'd be willing to yeah! She wouldn't want to go alone obviously but if others were interested in scoping out Seelie territory with her she'd be glad to lead it.

i am late but-! Loki's illusion spells would probably come in handy to help sneak the team in, and he's pretty pro at long distance attacks with throwing knives. and with the plants gathered from the bailey, Loki's made some poisons with the plant toxins that the team could use to take out anyone in the way.

he is unfortunately also Loki so there's a good chance he'll just fuck it up for everyone involved simply because it's what he does, so. that could always be an option too.

this sounds excellent c: i don't think Loki would make another network post so soon about the poisons, but if there's an IC team moon meetup/network post or something along those lines, he'd offer his services.

and illusion powers are a go, then! if he's able to gather a bit of information on the location first, he could always put a few things together. he spent a thousand years in Asgard, and the palace there has it's own weapons vault and secret tunnels here and there, so i'm sure he could at least generally suspect where the tooth would be. it's a little possible he could sense the radiating face-melting energy too, but probably not from afar.

Waver's really, really not happy about the situation (and his magic is really not useful in combat, period), but he's toughing it out because a) boon - there's an item from home that'll help with the whole not-useful-in-combat thing, and b) he has the opportunity to do a little bit of observation.

He can definitely be used to delegate resources, but beyond that, I'm pretty flexible with things.

WE WILL GET TO BEGIN OUR CR!

if the situation allows it, moaning and groaning about this stupid ass fight? y/n
gordianknots: I will not sing along (But the smell of leather is intoxicating)

[personal profile] gordianknots 2014-05-02 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
HECK YES.

moaning, groaning, i am going to go look and see if there's creatures here that aren't going to maul me too, just while i'm at it, want to come with?

LETS GO and leave the camp unguarded, sounds like a normal alisha plan to me!

i'm so excited! but lets try not to get killed, mate. we have other things to bitch about, lets not add that to the list!
gordianknots: I've got dirty laundry on them all (Soft consonants and rounded vowels)

[personal profile] gordianknots 2014-05-02 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
no no no no you see you say that you're scouting ahead in case you have to move camp, then you're leaving for totally legitimate reasons and doing what you want to do while you're at it.

Ariadne isn't a healer (though she does have first aid training) and likely hasn't gone camping in years, but she's tiny and looks vulnerable. If any Seelie come looking for them, she'd be a good choice to be all "oh no woe is me horrible things" etc. at them and distract them from the camp.

Also, she's learning to magically conceal herself, so she could be on watch -- the best guard is one you don't know is there!

i have to tag into your log to begin this cr, but since they're on the same team, perhaps ariadne and alisha can have some more ~bonding~ and ariadne can show alisha that being useful is better than being purposefully useless.

don't get killed, fellow tiny friend.

I am always up for bonding!

she is going to try very hard not to

[personal profile] aphrodisiacs 2014-05-02 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
alisha really doesn't want to be involved (but wants a boon), so she's going to probably not be really ... great to deal with. but i'm sure if things get hectic, she'll try to participate/get her head out of her own ass and actually try and be of assistance.

she's patched up her boyfriend before while shaming him for getting hurt? so? sort of a healer? she's pretty useless, i'm sorry, team.

alisha also has the ability to practically be in someone else's shoes -- think google maps -- so if anyone wants to know where anyone else is (with player permission etc), alisha's a great search engine to ask!

SORRY IT HAS TAKEN ME A LONG WHILE TO GET BACK TO YOU ... i'm just overwhelmed by some rl things and not really knowing what to do with this event. HAVE A CORNETTO! HAVE ALL MY CORNETTOS AND I'LL KILL A PROBATION WORKER FOR YOU FREE OF CHARGE.

IF IT'S NOT TOO LATE for this plot, anyway, alisha will most likely just rattle off in a moany groany whiny rant about how everything is shit and her power is shit. it's pretty easy to have her spill the gps power beans, since she's pretty resentful about it -- all one has to do is maybe bring up people's use, or catch her in a bad mood. she's not particularly secretive about it and i can have her reveal it without too much trouble if the conversation leans that way.

Rolling in late, whoo. Also, my last exam (EVER IN MY WHOLE LIFE other than the bar exam) is May 8, so I may be a day or two late showing up to the event. But I'll be there!! I just wouldn't want to be the person anyone is depending on to get something started right away.

Anyway. Anders is a healer and also capable of going on the offensive if necessary, so he'll be useful! And he proooobably won't set anybody on fire this time, unless they really deserve it or something.

Updating some thoughts since this team hasn't got a lot to do and it might be worth pitching ideas (with some apologies for taking this goddamn long to come up with anything):

It might be a good strategy for Stars to set up a few false camps in the Geenwood to make them look used, in case any Seelie are trying to find out where Unseelie camp's set up. It'd allow for a little exploration on the Stars side of thing, at the very least, and if any Seelie folk wanted to slam into people, it'd offer them that opportunity.

Damon can go for brute strength in directing the bear (including potential baps on the nose 'BAD BEAR' or... I don't know. He could potentially compel the bear to play nice until they get to the Seelie (depending on mod approval/Edric's compulsion susceptibility), and possibly drain any Seelie stragglers near them.

Good for speed scouting ahead and being able to hear/smell incoming scouts/enemies.
withbite: (Look - Brows up 1)

[personal profile] withbite 2014-04-30 12:32 pm (UTC)(link)
He's got a daylight ring which lets him walk around like a sexy man beast during the day, so yeah, he can be good for either shift.

And he can go longer without sleep than a human. Someone might want to give him incentive. "If you help us with the bear, I'll let you tap a vein."
withbite: (Default)

[personal profile] withbite 2014-04-30 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
His compulsion of Edric would be up to the mods since I'm not really sure of magic bear men's susceptibility to it, but even without that, he'd still be pretty capable of handling him.

If there's time for it before they leave and Damon knows he's got to work with a team (AGAINST HIS WILL), he'd work something out with whoever he had to since he's not suicidal.
erythristic: (fascination.)

[personal profile] erythristic 2014-04-30 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Grell's not got skill in bear handling, so she'll likely be leaving that to her other teammates. That said, for skirmishes with Seelie directly, she's not going to hesitate and will fully encourage others to do the same. If needed, however, she could assist other fighters in their assault, so if characters need a strong second, she'll probably go and help.
erythristic: (you amaze me)

[personal profile] erythristic 2014-04-30 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Absolutely not, she vastly prefers setting things on fire to being the one set on fire. If that's assured, she's all for it.

Mary's no good for fighting or leadership, but she's familiarized with the story of Wild Edric and may be helpful for advice in that regard!

Also, with OOC permission from the team, she can temporarily restrain him with her Eye ability if things get tough. It's a watered-down version of Medusa's gaze, so he'd be rendered still like he'd been turned to stone. Naturally, this also works on any Seelies they might run into!

[personal profile] paraleyes 2014-05-05 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Being locked in your house for a hundred years does that to a girl! Coming back to this now that I'm finally settled back in.

She would be pretty nervous about it, especially because it's a high-pressure situation and she's not super familiar with any of her teammates just yet, but considering everything at stake here, she could go along with it.

As much as Hibari loves "cute" pets, he's all violence in battles like these. He's fast enough to be good bait, if Team Sun wants a non-lethal solution? As for the Seelie themselves, he'll be thrilled to engage them, large numbers or small.
embattle: (All Or Nothing)

[personal profile] embattle 2014-05-04 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, can't turn down a hot bowl of chaos... If he has permission to wound, he will. Besides that, he'll likely keep an eye on Celegorm's back.
dragmire: (Distant Horizons)

[personal profile] dragmire 2014-05-02 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Ganondorf as befitting an endboss villain, has a penchant for beasts like Edric. He just has a kind of love at unleashing creatures like that on people. So it's the sort of thing he'd be good at. But at the same time, something that it looks like Celegorm is just as qualified for.

In the meantime, he's better suited for command. He'll have his men given to him by the queen, as well as anyone else who might be willing to work with him. He'll be leading from the front and probably slinging some magic around as needed.

ON THE SPOT NOW, UH OH.

Since the main purpose is to draw attention to themselves, he would lead a frontal attack on the gatehouse. Your typical tactic of forcing open the gates, then taking the walls and towers. If they can gain siege weapons, all the better. Ideally they'd keep their injured down by only harassing the defenders with volleys of attacks. Some visible appearance of an escalade with ladders or ramming the gate would be sufficient for the Seelie to want to focus all their efforts on defense. Do they actually do it? No, not unless the castle looks poorly defended. It's only important to put the fear of invasion in them.
