Boon Requests
Hey, guys! The Wild Edric event officially ended on the 19th (feel free to keep backtagging, of course!) and we're a day behind on tossing up the boon request post because RL plus Summer equals Hangovers, oops so this will run until 24TH MAY (00:01am LONDON GMT) instead of the 23RD. The tooth and sword were BOTH recovered by their respective sides!
Wherever Shard-holder characters are in the Drabwurld, at some point today they will be approached by fairies or imps, depending on their alignment, bearing a piece of parchment and a quill. They will urge your character to write down a request for an item, power or favour from their monarchs in exchange for fighting or supporting their faction and they will take it away through a fairy-ring when it is written. There are three easy rules your character will be informed MUST NOT be broken:

If your character doesn't want to request a boon they may simply wave away the fairies/imps. It is not possible to "save up" Boon Requests for later events, so make sure to get yours in if you want one!

1) "Do not call for time and space to be bent to your will!"Essentially, the OOC boundaries relayed through IC means to your character are to avoid game-breaking demands being made. They will be approved, altered or denied here so that when your character receives their boon on the morning of 25th May (00:01am LONDON GMT), no matter where they are, there is no fuss, no muss! The royal audiences are bi-monthly (to avoid clashing with apps opening!) so the next will be in June. Feel free to link to any threads (completed or ongoing) where support has been shown for your faction that will qualify for a boon.
2) "You may not request another's true love or devotion!"
3) "Ask not for a road home or the loved ones whence you came!"

He will indeed receive, wrapped neatly, two cut halves of a peanut butter sandwich fashioned just in the manner he remembers of his mother.
But with it will come two small boxes; one, rosewood-fashioned and velvet-lined, will hold a necklace with a small pendant of a closed eye. Instructions set into the box inform him that when lifted to the light, the eye will open, reflecting the light in a steady beam to lead him the way to whatever it is he seeks.
The second box will hold a stamped-metal bracelet, fashioned in the manner of two spread wings; when worn, it will help him discern truth from lie, and will flex and tighten about his wrist just perceptibly to warn him of treachery.
The tray that these are delivered upon, when turned over, is revealed to be a shield; fashioned from the familiar scales of Ladon and set in a radial pattern. It is small and strangely light, little better than a buckler; but when he lifts it to protect himself from blows, the scales will shiver and stretch. When worn and raised in his defense, the shield may grow as long as he is tall, and just as wide, never seeming to gain more weight, and will defend as well against magic and the elements as blows of strength.
