Boon Requests

Hey, guys! The Wild Edric event officially ended on the 19th (feel free to keep backtagging, of course!) and we're a day behind on tossing up the boon request post because RL plus Summer equals Hangovers, oops so this will run until 24TH MAY (00:01am LONDON GMT) instead of the 23RD. The tooth and sword were BOTH recovered by their respective sides!

Wherever Shard-holder characters are in the Drabwurld, at some point today they will be approached by fairies or imps, depending on their alignment, bearing a piece of parchment and a quill. They will urge your character to write down a request for an item, power or favour from their monarchs in exchange for fighting or supporting their faction and they will take it away through a fairy-ring when it is written. There are three easy rules your character will be informed MUST NOT be broken:

1) "Do not call for time and space to be bent to your will!"
2) "You may not request another's true love or devotion!"
3) "Ask not for a road home or the loved ones whence you came!"

Essentially, the OOC boundaries relayed through IC means to your character are to avoid game-breaking demands being made. They will be approved, altered or denied here so that when your character receives their boon on the morning of 25th May (00:01am LONDON GMT), no matter where they are, there is no fuss, no muss! The royal audiences are bi-monthly (to avoid clashing with apps opening!) so the next will be in June. Feel free to link to any threads (completed or ongoing) where support has been shown for your faction that will qualify for a boon.

If your character doesn't want to request a boon they may simply wave away the fairies/imps. It is not possible to "save up" Boon Requests for later events, so make sure to get yours in if you want one!

BEAR BOON APPROVED
Connor will be elevated and invited to join the golden-cloaked Golden Cadre by High-King Ridire; and for his work, one of the very teeth he knocked from the bear's mighty jaw will be cleaned and set in cold iron to fashion a cloak pin. While he wears it, his strength will be magnified many times; sword-shattering, at the greatest level.

Even when he is without the token, however, Connor will be informed that a great gift of magic has been granted to him: at will, he may now take a form like unto the great bear he battled: hugely massive, retaining all his human intelligence and memory, but gaining all the strength and senses of his beastly form, and while in it, able to communicate with other beasts after their fashion. Once in this form, he must remain so until moonlight touches his fur, at which point he may again take human shape.

All his clothes and gear will be kept on his person during such transformations.

WOW, SO MUCH BEAR. Got a couple of quick questions!

- How tall is hugely massive, approximately?

- Can he communicate with people as a bear or just futile bear noises and awkward bear charades? Does his locket change while he's bear'd?

- Are his clothes and gear literally on his bear-person or just kind of magically with him and reappearing when he de-bears?

- When on his hind legs, he'll be around 14 feet tall.

- There will be some bear charades but the locket will translate speech for him and become large enough, while bear'd, to be worn around his neck.

- His clothes and gear will all be magically with him until he de-bears (sort of like an Animagus).
