THE ROAD TO WAR

Clarisse has one of the family jewels (hurr hurr) of Celegorm's family, and he's gonna about-face from the successful attack on Mair to head south to Caer Glaem reclaim it. By force.

He'll be travelling with some Unseelie folks + ??? (pending mod info and ooc wrangling with other pcs) soldiers, some survived from Mair, some fresh reinforcements. Ideally, a Seelie force will ride out to meet him before he makes it to Caer Glaem, so as not to interrupt PCs there who don't want to participate.

Please fill out this handy chart to list your participation deets if you're interested and so you can plot with other folks! I will update this header post with more info as plans get hashed out. So far:

1. There will be TWO logs! THIS FIRST LOG is for the army in transit and in prep, and THIS SECOND LOG for the battle proper!

2. NPC matchmaking service! There's a lot more seelie than unseelie, so for those who want to actually play out battling orcs, drow, trolls, men, werewolves, or other fun opponents, there will be plenty of opportunities to do that! In the event post, there will be bios of these types of opponents and difficulty ratings, so if you have a character that would mow through the ground troops, you can do that! If you're wanting more of a boss-battle which actually tests your character's strengths, that can be handled too!

3. Event will be forward-dated! The event log for the battle itself will be going up a few days early, for those who have their plans all hashed out and want to get a move on!

COMPANY: THE DEMIGOD SQUAD. that's clarisse, jason, nico, and cassie at the moment (and luke if he ever comes back from the station).
BATTLE PLANS: kick celegorm's ass tbh. she'll be heading out to meet him head-to-head so as to avoid any civilian casualties, and she's going to be very adamant about this being her fight. it would be wise not to get in her way.
SHARD PLANS: i'm not too keen on her losing it now, but i could be convinced under the right circumstances.

In any event! They have a great rapport, and I'd love if nothing else to do a great 1:1 epic battle scene between them. Be foul-mouthed at each other. As an elf of the Tolkien variety, he's a lot hardier and stronger than a human, so it's conceivable that he could make a pretty good show.

BUT YES they definitely need to have an epic fight. they're actually probably pretty evenly matched, though clarisse miiight have the upperhand just because she's half god, but! really the only special abilities she has are enhanced strength, speed, and stamina aaaand she's damn good with a spear (think oberyn vs the mountain but with less, you know, death on her part). unfortunately for her she can't zap anyone or burn their faces off, boo. :c

c: Oh man, that's super serendipitous! His stats are something similar to that, and his preferred weapon is a hunting spear! For this, he'll likely be using a sword, which should hopefully make things preeetty interesting.

OKAY SO HEEEEERE'S THE THING. after seeing the army while flying on appa, mako did a lot of research into the network to see what in the buffaloyak shit was going on, so when korra gets wind that clarisse pretty much goaded the elves+unseelie into attacking she is gonna want to talk to clarisse.

Elincia can casually heal Clarisse from afar if it's necessary. She likes to save her long range healing staffs for special occasions and this counts as a special occasion so.
