THE ROAD TO WAR

Clarisse has one of the family jewels (hurr hurr) of Celegorm's family, and he's gonna about-face from the successful attack on Mair to head south to Caer Glaem reclaim it. By force.

He'll be travelling with some Unseelie folks + ??? (pending mod info and ooc wrangling with other pcs) soldiers, some survived from Mair, some fresh reinforcements. Ideally, a Seelie force will ride out to meet him before he makes it to Caer Glaem, so as not to interrupt PCs there who don't want to participate.

Please fill out this handy chart to list your participation deets if you're interested and so you can plot with other folks! I will update this header post with more info as plans get hashed out. So far:

1. There will be TWO logs! THIS FIRST LOG is for the army in transit and in prep, and THIS SECOND LOG for the battle proper!

2. NPC matchmaking service! There's a lot more seelie than unseelie, so for those who want to actually play out battling orcs, drow, trolls, men, werewolves, or other fun opponents, there will be plenty of opportunities to do that! In the event post, there will be bios of these types of opponents and difficulty ratings, so if you have a character that would mow through the ground troops, you can do that! If you're wanting more of a boss-battle which actually tests your character's strengths, that can be handled too!

3. Event will be forward-dated! The event log for the battle itself will be going up a few days early, for those who have their plans all hashed out and want to get a move on!

COMPANY: mako & bolin are definitely going to be with her, but she'll likely try and get john "reaper" grimm and others in on it because she trusts their strength.
BATTLE PLANS: korra's mainly going to fight to protect the castle and not out of any serious malice towards the elves, so her end goal will be to drive them back. don't be mistaken — she is going to kick lots of ass getting to that point. however, it wouldn't be IC if she wasn't knocked down almost to her lowest peg before getting back up and being awesome. without the avatar state she is severely handicapped, so she won't be quite the powerhouse as she is on the show. other than that i have no solid plans so COME AT ME.
SHARD PLANS: not willing to lose her shard just yet.

yeah i plan to talk to gadget about that since technically john was with korra, mako and bolin when they spied the army from appa-back SO YES IF HERMIONE'S WITH THEM, THIS WILL BE AWESOME. korra will be all business about it — ask what sort of strengths hermione has and how helpful does she feel she can be, that sort of thing. so she and mako will probably come up with some instructions/tactics for everyone in their party, if that works for you!

POTIONS ARE GOOD so is healing and fire magic, they're definitely gonna need some healers since the only healer korra knows about is... herself... and she'll be busy attacking shit. but i figure she'll also ask hermione what she wants to do because while korra's pro-GIRL POWER she also doesn't want anyone to put themselves (or their shards) in unnecessary danger.

GOOD. this was actually want i wanted to give you a head's up about — when korra & co are flying back from the station they'll be able to spy the army on their way to the castle, so! at that point mako would have gone deep into research on the network to find out what's going on, so! i just wanted to let you know in case you wanted john to do some research too/etc however he'd handle that.

but yes good this does my heart good to hear. also since korra promised john a ride on naga she'll probably let him borrow her while she rides on appa to meet the opposing force.
