fairywoes | THE ROAD TO WAR

Clarisse has one of the family jewels (hurr hurr) of Celegorm's family, and he's gonna about-face from the successful attack on Mair to head south to Caer Glaem reclaim it. By force.

He'll be travelling with some Unseelie folks + ??? (pending mod info and ooc wrangling with other pcs) soldiers, some survived from Mair, some fresh reinforcements. Ideally, a Seelie force will ride out to meet him before he makes it to Caer Glaem, so as not to interrupt PCs there who don't want to participate.

1. There will be TWO logs! THIS FIRST LOG is for the army in transit and in prep, and THIS SECOND LOG for the battle proper!

2. NPC matchmaking service! There's a lot more seelie than unseelie, so for those who want to actually play out battling orcs, drow, trolls, men, werewolves, or other fun opponents, there will be plenty of opportunities to do that! In the event post, there will be bios of these types of opponents and difficulty ratings, so if you have a character that would mow through the ground troops, you can do that! If you're wanting more of a boss-battle which actually tests your character's strengths, that can be handled too!

3. Event will be forward-dated! The event log for the battle itself will be going up a few days early, for those who have their plans all hashed out and want to get a move on!

COURT: seelie and flittering between caer glaem and the station
COMPANY: she is pretty much hanging around with john grimm, legolas and thranduil when she gets around the station and her library peeps (also the godsquad because she is bros with nico and luke fight me)
BATTLE PLANS: she will ride out with the rest of them as a sort of defensive/protective type; potions at the ready, protection spells to keep seelies safe but more than capable of kicking ass if she needs to. generally, as a rule, she'll be content with trying to be a sort of 'in the back' person; she doesn't want to be a soldier or a fighter.

mako's doing "what's celegorm's deal and why is he such a bitch" research and stuff, so if he finds out hermione might know things/be able to help him talk to thran or legolas, he might hit her up early for stuff!?i idk.

yes!! she's on super good terms with thran/legolas and she has a link with them because of her compasses so she will try to help. she knows about the torture and spoke to thrandad about it a while back but she won't go into too much detail, just that Bad Shit happened and she helped cheer legolas up BUT YEAH come at her bro

holy shit those compasses are intense.

mako would legitimately consider asking her if he can pay her to make some for him and bolin and korra if he knew about them

BUT YEAH basically he's going to be trying to get as many witness reports as possible (and i might actually be teasing with the idea of making up some kind of "hey by the way we have reason to believe that this guy might be a war criminal" thing for... idk either propaganda purposes or just general "oh my god he's an asshole its safe to assume his allies are too?" things. though im not sure about that.)

BUT YEAH as long as legolas is okay with it she'd help :T a lot of her involvement in anything re: that torture stuff is going to be dependant on his comfort because heck she was tortured she can empathise with people talking about it and giving her awkward looks buT YEAH she's got you bro

awesome! mako's definitely considering -- once he finds out john is a knight and might actually have some authority? like. maybe trying to find a way to arrest... celegorm... or something. maybe. probably not. but he will talk about it. i dont know im just thinking out loud.
