THE ROAD TO WAR

Clarisse has one of the family jewels (hurr hurr) of Celegorm's family, and he's gonna about-face from the successful attack on Mair to head south to Caer Glaem reclaim it. By force.

He'll be travelling with some Unseelie folks + ??? (pending mod info and ooc wrangling with other pcs) soldiers, some survived from Mair, some fresh reinforcements. Ideally, a Seelie force will ride out to meet him before he makes it to Caer Glaem, so as not to interrupt PCs there who don't want to participate.

Please fill out this handy chart to list your participation deets if you're interested and so you can plot with other folks! I will update this header post with more info as plans get hashed out. So far:

1. There will be TWO logs! THIS FIRST LOG is for the army in transit and in prep, and THIS SECOND LOG for the battle proper!

2. NPC matchmaking service! There's a lot more seelie than unseelie, so for those who want to actually play out battling orcs, drow, trolls, men, werewolves, or other fun opponents, there will be plenty of opportunities to do that! In the event post, there will be bios of these types of opponents and difficulty ratings, so if you have a character that would mow through the ground troops, you can do that! If you're wanting more of a boss-battle which actually tests your character's strengths, that can be handled too!

3. Event will be forward-dated! The event log for the battle itself will be going up a few days early, for those who have their plans all hashed out and want to get a move on!

BATTLE PLANS: after team avatar + appa + reaper spotted the unseelie army coming back from the station, mako went in full on detective mode to see what he could find on the network... about anything, and he will find the original clarisse simaril post, and be doing detective work from there re: most of the demigods and whatever he can find on the tolkien elves, and distributing that information through reaper/korra to the appropriate individuals.

during the battle itself, it seems like he is going to be bisonback with his brother and korra, and doing a tactic that can loosely be described as "throwing a fuckass ton of lightning at unseelie people wearing armor" and "lighting shit on fire too." if at some point he is grounded, he's got armor and is a capable martial artist/firebender, so he can knock some heads with firey chun li kicks/get his own butt knocked about. he's still not over the "killing humans or beings that look really human" sentiment, which might hinder him. unfortunately, being an avatar protag, he's high on the physical skills side of the spectrum, and is one hell of a combination with bolin.

besides luke staying far, far away from clarisse? (and it might be obvious — i'm sure clarisse may throw out a few snarky comments toward or about him, just as he would make some about her if prompted). luke-specific, he's wearing his converse shoes with these little wings on the side that flutter as though they're alive (because they are), and his four foot long sword (he'd use to fight any monsters coming their way — he's also a really good swordsman), backbiter. the only ability luke has that could be used in them walking is him shouting out directions as he basically has a navigational system built inside his head — he just knows where to go. (there'd probably be clarisse disgruntlement there and him rolling his eyes at her).

luke's not one to advertise his dislike for his dad unless prompted, but it's very easy for him to just say he's the kid of a greek god — and may have spoken a little briefly about camp half-blood! he's not as giving in details as jason (i think you've got some cr with him?) is since a lot of his own retellings involve super sour bitterness.

SEEN/HEARD, i know luke would've hung around mako whenever he got the chance just for naga, so. (*‿*✿)
