Boon Requests

Hey, palhonchos, it's Christmas Boon time! Requests are up, which means the fairies and imps are out and about bothering people from their respective factions to note down the number one item on their wishlist again!

Wherever Shard-holder characters are in the Drabwurld, at some point today they will be approached by fairies or imps, depending on their alignment, bearing a piece of parchment and a quill. They will urge your character to write down a request for an item, power or favour from their monarchs in exchange for fighting or supporting their faction and they will take it away through a fairy-ring when it is written. There are three easy rules your character will be informed MUST NOT be broken:

1) "Do not call for time and space to be bent to your will!"
2) "You may not request another's true love or devotion!"
3) "Ask not for a road home or the loved ones whence you came!"

Essentially, the OOC boundaries relayed through IC means to your character are to avoid game-breaking demands being made. They will be approved, altered or denied here until 22nd July (00:01am LONDON GMT) so that when your character receives their boon on the morning of 23rd (you can pick any time for them to be delivered/show up) no matter where they are there is no fuss, no muss! The royal audiences are bi-monthly and the third is due to be held near the end of August, which the fairies and imps will also be informing people.

This month, everybody qualifies for a boon! As an IC punishment to those who have kept their stars, anyone still in possession of one WILL NOT qualify for a boon, as stated by the monarchs ICLy on the 12th ("Champions who do not heed this request will forfeit their upcoming right to a boon. All are eligible save star-keepers.") Feel free to link to any threads (completed or ongoing) that will show your character getting involved in the event this month. Simply C&P the below into your comment:

Otherwise, make sure to mention something you think your character might want!

If your character doesn't want to request a boon they may simply wave away the fairies/imps. It is not possible to "save up" Boon Requests for later events, so make sure to get yours in if you want one!

BOON APPROVED... SORT OF!

The fairies will instruct her that a stall has been cleared for her in the stables, and tack in black and gold made bearing her sigil waits there... but they also say that Pegasi have been hunted to near extinction, and the last herds remaining to the world are hidden and protected by sylphs of the Sisterhood. Earning the friendship of a sylph might earn her the location of said beasts; alternatively, she is also shown that herds of ceffyl dwr live in the mountains beyond the castle, and that if she wants to lure one to her service, there is indeed a trick to luring them close to a hopeful captor and rider:

they love the sound of bells!

Sweet! I love that she'll have to kind of work for it (I also love the personal touch with the tack!). She's gonna WTH so hard at learning about them being hunted down.

I just have one question so I make sure I do this properly, please!

Any tips for befriending the sylphs? Running into one prooooobably wouldn't be a problem for her, but anything I should know specifically about how hard or how long it could take beyond that?

Other PCs have had experiences with sylphs; she may benefit from making a call-out for information over the lockets! Otherwise, basic research will help her to know that sylphs are among the most flighty of the Sisterhood, and that finding a way to keep or hold their attention is key! They are generally a playful and lighthearted sort, but their moods can change as quickly as the direction of the wind!

One is likely to at least answer Cassie shortly after her arrival, but how long its attention is held depends on how Cassie keeps the conversation going.
