BOON REQUESTS

A little late, but it's boon time! Requests are up, which means the fairies and imps are out and about bothering people from their respective factions to note down the number one item on their wishlist again!


Wherever Shard-holder characters are in the Drabwurld, at some point today they will be approached by fairies or imps, depending on their alignment, bearing a piece of parchment and a quill. They will urge your character to write down a request for an item, power or favour from their monarchs in exchange for fighting or supporting their faction and they will take it away through a fairy-ring when it is written. There are three easy rules your character will be informed MUST NOT be broken:

1) "Do not call for time and space to be bent to your will!"
2) "You may not request another's true love or devotion!"
3) "Ask not for a road home or the loved ones whence you came!"

Essentially, the OOC boundaries relayed through IC means to your character are to avoid game-breaking demands being made. They will be approved, altered or denied here until 24th AUGUST (00:01am LONDON GMT) so that when your character receives their boon on the morning of 25th (you can pick any time for them to be delivered/show up) no matter where they are there is no fuss, no muss! The royal audiences are bi-monthly and the third is due to be held near October, which the fairies and imps will also be informing people. This month, everybody who managed to slay one of the shadow-beasties gets a boon! Feel free to link to any threads (completed or ongoing) that will show your character getting involved in the event this month. Simply C&P the below into your comment:

BOON REQUEST: The ability to quiet her supernatural noise frequencies and hear the whispers more clearly without needing to scream. Supernatural hyperfocus, I guess, is a good way to put it.

The fairies will negotiate on her behalf in local areas, and present to her a young pup, only 9 or 10 weeks old! It's a Laika, a breed used primarily by woodsmen. They're excellent hunters alone or in packs, but are also often used as draft dogs! Known for their intelligence and stubbornness, the pup might be tough to train at first... but she couldn't want for a better companion!

He'll be given a leather roll full of sachets and small glass containers of common curatives and restoratives, as well as instruments common to a healer's trade: everything from needle and catgut for stitching to splints! It stores easily and weighs relatively little.

Inside on a little note is an offer to instruct him in combat medicine from one of the local soldiers!

An unfamiliar green-robed servant offers Tarrlock a great book regarding the laws of the territory crowned by Caer Glaem... and also a letter, inviting him to act as an ambassador to other territories on behalf of Caer Glaem.

If he accepts, the servant will have more to say.

Stiles receives a pair of books delivered by fairies close to these specifications; they can function as a private network of sorts, without the lockets, but rather than showing a whole book, they may only transport a single chapter. The spell to accomplish this is laborious and energy-sapping.

Who needs a taser when you can BE the taser? An imp will bring her a scroll instructing her how to deliver a substantial voltage on contact, so long as she says the word: thair.

Not only will Lumina be given the power to summon two imps on command, but a gaggle of six will begin to follow her wherever she goes, acting as loyal (knee-height) yes-men and servants. They'll attack her enemies, see to her minor comforts, and start giving themselves tribal face and bodypaints to mirror her colors.

The day following her request, she finds that the noise is indeed quieter, and the whispers have become clearer! Not entirely clear, but a FAR sight better!

The fairies cajole and lead a young direwolf pup to her room, entertaining it while she's away. It has an injured paw which if not treated swiftly will result in a lifelong limp; it's clear this one had been hunted from its den.

In the drabwurld, alpha werewolves are a far sight different than they might be in his canon! Their shifted forms are doubly as large as they might be otherwise, and come with the bonus of having an infectious bite: anyone Peter bites on a full moon while in his fur would then contract lycanthropy unless they take the appropriate remedy before the following full moon.

Once he achieves this alpha status, he'll hear the challenging howls of another alpha in La Llorona almost nightly.

She will receive a trunk of clothes from home, but unfortunately, it looks like the fairies may have been confused! It's mostly several pro bending uniforms of rival teams, the waist-up elements of the task force armor, the equalist uniform, and approximately two dozen hats.

One of them is stuffed with sea prunes.
