BOON REQUESTS

A little late, but it's boon time! Requests are up, which means the fairies and imps are out and about bothering people from their respective factions to note down the number one item on their wishlist again!


Wherever Shard-holder characters are in the Drabwurld, at some point today they will be approached by fairies or imps, depending on their alignment, bearing a piece of parchment and a quill. They will urge your character to write down a request for an item, power or favour from their monarchs in exchange for fighting or supporting their faction and they will take it away through a fairy-ring when it is written. There are three easy rules your character will be informed MUST NOT be broken:

1) "Do not call for time and space to be bent to your will!"
2) "You may not request another's true love or devotion!"
3) "Ask not for a road home or the loved ones whence you came!"

Essentially, the OOC boundaries relayed through IC means to your character are to avoid game-breaking demands being made. They will be approved, altered or denied here until 24th AUGUST (00:01am LONDON GMT) so that when your character receives their boon on the morning of 25th (you can pick any time for them to be delivered/show up) no matter where they are there is no fuss, no muss! The royal audiences are bi-monthly and the third is due to be held near October, which the fairies and imps will also be informing people. This month, everybody who managed to slay one of the shadow-beasties gets a boon! Feel free to link to any threads (completed or ongoing) that will show your character getting involved in the event this month. Simply C&P the below into your comment:

Otherwise, make sure to mention something you think your character might want!

If your character doesn't want to request a boon they may simply wave away the fairies/imps. It is not possible to "save up" Boon Requests for later events, so make sure to get yours in if you want one!

RELEVANT THREAD(S): Link #1 Mako threw some fireballs at shadows from his bed in the infirmary, and had a dog there, making sure the fairies that came to visit his egg didn't get munched! But he wasn't able to do much more than that.
BOON REQUEST: "Queen Solais, you said you picked me because the dragons we had back home meant we'd understand the importance of them here. Is there anyway I can have books about dragons from my world, which would be easier to read?"
POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS: ANY BOOKS FROM HIS WORLD, maybe even some stupid trashy pulp fiction novels about detectives and maybe some trashy romance stuff too... "Love Amongst the Dragons" anyone? or maybe that one about the princess who destroyed a country on her dragon...and then jumped in a volcano.... he's read that one before... just give him lots of books he likes books

BOON APPROVED

The fairies, over the course of a day, will haul several books to Mako in the infirmary. One of them, the oldest of the lot, in a heavy leather-and-brass binding, is obviously a dragon geneology of some kind, and has recorded thousands of years of dragons. Inside are detailed paintings, from egg to old age, of each individual named. Just based on egg appearance and size references, he's able to approximate which might be his egg's ancestors.

There will also be many books brought from his own world! Anything the fairies could grab with 'Dragon' in the title. 'Dragon Stance in Defense', 'Duelling Dragons: Criminal Masterminds of Our Time', 'A Dragon in Summer: The Classic Romance'.
